The Mozambican Cricket Association sent teams to Eswatini in July 2022 to play six men's Twenty20 International (T20I) and six Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches. [1] These were the first official T20I and WT20I matches to be played in Eswatini. [2] The men's series was played at Malkerns Country Club Oval in Malkerns, with Mozambique winning 6–0 against a new-look Eswatini side. [3] The women's series was played at Enjabulweni Cricket Ground in Manzini and was also won 6–0 by the tourists. [4]

The 2019 ICC Women's Qualifier Africa was a cricket tournament that was held in Zimbabwe in May 2019. The matches in the tournament were played as Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), with the top team progressing to both the 2019 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier and the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournaments. Uganda won the previous Africa qualifier tournament, when it was held in Windhoek in 2017.

The 2019 Kwibuka Women's T20 Tournament was a women's T20I cricket (WT20I) tournament held in Rwanda from 18 to 23 June 2019. This was the sixth edition of the annual Kwibuka T20 Tournament, first organised in 2014 in remembrance of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The 2018 Botswana Cricket Association Women's T20I Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament held in Gaborone, Botswana from 20 to 25 August 2018. The participants were the women's national sides of Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia and Sierra Leone. Matches were recognised as official T20I games as per ICC's announcement that full T20I status would apply to all official matches played between women's teams of associate members after 1 July 2018. Zambia also took part in the tournament but their matches did not have T20I status due to their squad including a non-eligible player, and their results are not included in the available coverage. The matches were played at two grounds at the Botswana Cricket Association Oval in Gaborone. Namibia won the tournament after winning all of their matches, including a victory over Sierra Leone in the final.
A cricket tournament was held at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, during July and August 2022. It was cricket's first inclusion in the Commonwealth Games since a List A men's tournament was held at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The matches were played as Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), with only a women's tournament being part of the Games.
The 2019 T20 Kwacha Cup was a men's Twenty20 International/women's Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket event between the men's and women's national cricket teams of Malawi and Mozambique. Both the men's and women's series consisted of seven T20I matches played between 6 and 10 November 2019 in Blantyre and Lilongwe, Malawi. The venue for the first four men's T20I matches was the Lilongwe Golf Club in Lilongwe, and these were followed by two matches at Indian Sports Club and one match at Saint Andrews International High School in Blantyre. All of the women's T20I matches were played at Saint Andrews International High School. Malawi won the men's series 5–1, and the women's series 4–3.
The Indonesia women's cricket team toured the Philippines to play a four-match Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) series that was played from 21 to 22 December 2019. Originally the tour was scheduled to be a tri-series, but Bahrain withdrew prior to the series. The matches were played at the Friendship Oval ground at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite campus in the city of Dasmariñas.

The 2021 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played in Botswana in September 2021. The matches were played as Twenty20 International (T20I) matches, with the top team progressing to the 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament. Botswana, Cameroon and Eswatini made their debuts at an ICC women's event. Malawi were originally named as taking part in the tournament, but they were replaced by Eswatini.
The Uganda women's cricket team toured Nepal in May 2022 to play a five-match bilateral Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) series. All of the matches in the series were played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. These were the first Women's T20I matches played at Kirtipur. The series was used by Uganda as preparation for the 2022 Kwibuka Tournament.

The 2022 Spain Women's Pentangular Series was a women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament held in Spain from 11 to 14 November 2022. The participants were the women's national sides of Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden and Isle of Man. The Isle of Man played their first official WT20I matches in the tournament.
The 2022–23 South Africa women's Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that took place in South Africa in January and February 2023 as a preparatory series before the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup. It was a tri-nation series between India women, South Africa women and the West Indies women cricket teams, with the matches played as Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) fixtures.
