The India cricket team toured Ireland in June 2022 to play two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. [1] On 1 March 2022, Cricket Ireland announced the schedule. [2] [3] On 15 June 2022, Ireland named their squad for the two-match series. [4] Later the same day, India also confirmed their squad for the matches, with Hardik Pandya named as their captain. [5]

The first T20I was delayed by more than two hours due to rain, before the match was reduced to twelve overs per side. [6] Each side fielded a debutant, with Conor Olphert making his international debut for Ireland, and Umran Malik playing his first match for India. [7] Batting first, Ireland made 108/4 from their twelve overs, with Harry Tector making an unbeaten 64 runs. [8] In reply, India chased down the target in 9.2 overs, [9] to win the match by seven wickets. [10]

In the second T20I, India scored 225/7, with Deepak Hooda scoring his first century in a T20I match. [11] In reply, Ireland fell just four runs short of the target, [12] as they made 221/5, with India winning the match and taking the series 2–0. [13] Deepak Hooda was named the player of the series for his century and his 47 not out in the first match. [14] After the match, Ireland's captain Andrew Balbirnie said that "it's not every day you get that close against a team like India", but was "bitterly disappointed" in losing the match by such a narrow margin. The India cricket team toured Australia from November 2018 to January 2019 to play four Tests, three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. Initially, the Test match at the Adelaide Oval was planned to be a day/night fixture, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declined the offer from Cricket Australia to play the match under lights. In April 2018, the Western Australian Cricket Association confirmed that the Perth Stadium would host its first ever Test match. During the second Test, it became the tenth venue in Australia to host a Test match.

It was Ireland's first Test played overseas and the first Test match between the two sides. All of the fixtures took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. All the matches took place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Originally, the tour was scheduled to take place in June 2020, but was moved back to August 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before being postponed. On 9 July 2021, following an outbreak of COVID-19 cases in the Sri Lankan camp, the series was postponed from 13 to 18 July.

In September 2021, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that India would also play a one-off Test match, after the fifth Test in 2021 was cancelled. The following month, the ECB confirmed that the rescheduled match would determine the outcome of last summer's Test series, and was played ahead of the T20I series.

The Australian cricket team toured India in September 2022 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches as a preparatory series before 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. They later returned in February and March 2023 to play four Test and three One Day International (ODI) matches. The Test matches formed part of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship.

The South African cricket team toured India in June 2022 to play five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. In September 2021, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the schedule for the tour. In March 2022, the tour itinerary was updated, with matches moved from Bangalore and Nagpur to Cuttack and Visakhapatnam. In April 2022, the BCCI issued a further update to the tour, with Delhi and Bangalore hosting the first and fifth T20I matches respectively. After the COVID-19 pandemic, this was the first series in India to be played without restrictions.

The India cricket team toured the West Indies and the United States during July and August 2022 to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODIs and the first T20I took place in Trinidad and Tobago, the next two T20Is were played in St. Kitts and Nevis, with the final two T20Is played in Lauderhill, Florida. The full details of the tour were confirmed on 1 June 2022.
