Ávila is a province of central-western Spain, in the southern part of the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is bordered on the south by the provinces of Toledo and Cáceres, on the west by Salamanca, on the north by Valladolid, and on the east by Segovia and Madrid. Ávila has a population of 158,265 (2018) and is ranked 47th out of 50 of Spanish provinces in population. Its capital is Ávila.
San Lorenzo de El Escorial, also known as El Escorial de Arriba, is a town and municipality in the Community of Madrid, Spain, located to the northwest of the region in the southeastern side of the Sierra de Guadarrama, at the foot of Mount Abantos and Las Machotas, 47 kilometres (29 mi) from Madrid. It is head of the eponymous judicial party. The settlement is popularly called El Escorial de Arriba, to differentiate it from the neighbouring village of El Escorial, also known as El Escorial de Abajo.

The Sierra de Gredos is one of the most extensive mountain ranges of the Central System; it comprises five river valleys: the Alto Tormes, the Alto Alberche, the Tiétar Oriental, the Tiétar Occidental y la Vera, and the Valle del Ambroz. The first known inhabitants were the Vettones, a pre-Roman Celtic people. The central part of the range encomprises the Sierra de Gredos Regional Park.

It is located between the systems Sierra de Gredos in the province of Ávila, and Sierra de Ayllón in the province of Guadalajara.
Collado Mediano is a town and municipality in the north-west of the Community of Madrid, Spain. It had a population of 6,610 in 2011 and is located 48 km from Madrid. The municipality covers an area of 22.57 km2. Located near the Sierra de Guadarrama, it lies at 1,032 metres above sea level.
The Peñalara Natural Park is a natural park of 7.68 km2 in the northwest of the Community of Madrid, Spain. It was designated in June 1990. The park is situated in the central zone of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Since 2013 the Sierra de Guadarrama has also been protected by a national park designation.

There are some different options to travel there from Madrid or Avila: you can go by car or by train. Although the train station is roughly 2 km away from the town, there are many buses that you can take every time you arrive here by train. There are trains every day connecting Las Navas to Madrid or Las Navas to Ávila. According to the 2007 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 5,098 inhabitants. According to statistics from 1 January 2016, Las Navas del Marqués had a population of 5,272 inhabitants. In summer, the population is five times bigger because the municipality receives many people from Madrid who spend their summer here because it is less hot than in the city.

The Alberche is a river in the provinces of Ávila, Madrid and Toledo, central Spain. It begins its course at 1,800 m in Fuente Alberche, San Martín de la Vega del Alberche municipal term, Ávila Province. It forms the natural division between the Sierra de Gredos and the Sierra de Guadarrama, in the Sistema Central.
The Guadarrama is a river in Spain. A tributary of the Tagus, the longest river on the Iberian Peninsula, Guadarrama has its source in the Siete Picos, part of the Sierra de Guadarrama, in the Community of Madrid, in the central part of the country, at an altitude of 1,900 metres (6,200 ft).
Los Negrales is a residential zone in the municipal area of Collado Villalba, Alpedrete, Saint Lorenzo de El Escorial, Guadarrama and Galapagar, consisting mostly of detached houses. Although it was divided in three administrative zones, Los Negrales is a contiguous residential area. This residential zone was built gradually. The oldest houses date to the first half of the 20th century, and building has continued until contemporary times. A significant part of the houses are second residences of their owners, therefore, in summer and in holidays the population doubles.
