Stratford is a town in East London, England, in the London Borough of Newham. Part of the Lower Lea Valley, it is 6 miles (9.7 km) northeast of Charing Cross, and includes Maryland and East Village.
The London Borough of Newham is a London borough created in 1965 by the London Government Act 1963. It covers an area previously administered by the Essex county boroughs of West Ham and East Ham, authorities that were both abolished by the same act. The name Newham reflects its creation and combines the compass points of the old borough names. Situated in the Inner London part of East London, Newham has a population of 387,576, which is the fourth highest of the London boroughs and also makes it the 26th most populous district in England. The local authority is Newham London Borough Council.
University of East London (UEL) is a public university located in the London Borough of Newham, London, England, based at three campuses in Stratford and Docklands, following the opening of University Square Stratford in September 2013. The University of East London began as the West Ham Technical Institute and it was officially opened in October 1898 after approval was given for the construction of the site by the West Ham Technical Instruction Act Committee in 1892 following the Technical Instruction Act of 1889. It gained university status in 1992. It was formerly known as College of East London.
Morley College is a specialist adult education and further education college in London, England. The college has three main campuses, one in Waterloo on the South Bank, and two in West London namely in North Kensington and in Chelsea, the latter two joining following a merger with Kensington and Chelsea College in 2020. There are also smaller centres part of the college elsewhere. Morley College is also a registered charity under English law. It was originally founded in the 1880s and has a student population of 11,000 adult students. It offers courses in a wide variety of fields, including art and design, fashion, languages, drama, dance, music, health and humanities.

Newham Sixth Form College (NewVIc) is a sixth form college located in the East London borough of Newham. Situated on a single site in Plaistow, the college was established in 1992 to provide for students in Newham and neighbouring boroughs who opt to stay in education beyond GCSE O-levels. It is designed for students ages 16 to 19 and its curriculum includes A-levels as well as specialist pathway, levels 2 and 3 vocational, foundation level and ESOL programmes. The college at one time had an enrolment of about 2,500 students.
Brampton Manor Academy is an 11–19 mixed, secondary school and selective sixth form with academy status in East Ham, London, England. It is the second largest school in the London Borough of Newham. Stratford Circus was a contemporary performing arts venue in Stratford in the London Borough of Newham, east London. It was designed by Levitt Bernstein architects and built with funding from the National Lottery, and had been operated by the Stratford Arts Trust charity since 2011.
Newham London Borough Council also known as Newham Council, is the local authority for the London Borough of Newham in Greater London, England. It is a London borough council, one of 32 in London. The council has been under Labour majority control since 1971. It has been led by a directly elected mayor since 2002. The council meets at Newham Town Hall in East Ham and at Stratford Town Hall, and has its main offices at 1000 Dockside Road, overlooking the Royal Albert Dock.
Solihull College & University Centre is a further education college located in the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull, in the West Midlands, England. The College has two main campuses: the Blossomfield Campus near central Solihull, and the Woodlands Campus based in Smith's Wood, north Solihull. The Principal of the College is Rebecca Gater.
Croydon College is a large further and higher education college located in Croydon, within the London Borough of Croydon. Its origins can be traced to a School of Art that was established in 1868, which subsequently merged with Croydon Polytechnic to create the college shortly after the Second World War. The college provides study programmes, apprenticeships and higher education courses at Croydon University Centre to over 10,000 enrolled students as of 2014, of which 3,400 are full-time. The college is the only Further Education College to have been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS).

It was established in 1991 by the merger between Willesden Technical College and Kilburn Polytechnic in the London Borough of Brent. Today there are two campuses in the borough, in Willesden and Wembley Park, while a smaller training centre also exists in King's Cross in the borough of Camden. Over 11,000 students were enrolled at the college as of 2015.
Plashet School is a prestigious secondary girls school in East Ham, London with approximately 1,500 students. It was previously a grammar school. In 2009 Ofsted highlighted Plashet as one of 12 outstanding schools serving disadvantaged communities.

East Village is an area in Stratford, East London that was designed and constructed as the Olympic Village of the 2012 Summer Olympics and has been converted for use as a new residential district, complete with independent shops, bars and restaurants. The area was formerly contaminated waste land and industrial buildings to the north of Stratford town centre. More than 7,000 people now live in the area.

Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre, also known as The NCS, is a free school sixth form college located in East Ham, London, England. Administered by the City of London Academies Trust, it was opened in 2014. The college is coeducational and is affiliated with University College London who is a strategic partner. It was rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted in 2021. It has an ALPS 1 score for value added.
Harris Science Academy East London (HSAEL), formerly known as East London Science School (ELSS), is a coeducational secondary free school with specialist school status in science and language in Stratford, Bromley and Bow, in the London boroughs of Newham and Tower Hamlets. It was founded on Three Mills Island in its first temporary and current main site, the Clock Mill, by its first principal, David Perks, in 2013. The school originally planned to move to its permanent site two years after its opening, however this has yet to occur. The new building is being built by Berkeley Homes as part of its Twelvetrees Park development project and is expected to be complete sometime in 2022.
New City College (NCC) is a large college of further education with campuses in East London and Essex. The college was formed in 2016 with the amalgamation of separate colleges, beginning with the merger between Tower Hamlets College and Hackney Community College, followed by the gradual additions of Redbridge College, Epping Forest College, and both Havering College of Further and Higher Education, Havering Sixth Form College and BSix Sixth Form College. It is the second largest provider of post-16 education in the country since 2019.
