Spectrum News 1 North Carolina is an American cable news television channel owned by Charter Communications, as an affiliate of its Spectrum News slate of regional news channels. The channel broadcasts rolling newscasts 24-hours a day, seven days a week, focused primarily on the state of North Carolina, with the exception of some special programming, including weekly in-depth program In Focus, a weeknight regional version of Capital Tonight and the nightly sportscast Sports Night. The channel's headquarters and main studio is located on Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh, just outside downtown. Additional bureaus are located on Morehead Street in downtown Charlotte; at the Centreport office park in Greensboro; on Scientific Park Drive in Wilmington; and in the Croatan National Forest in Newport.

KIDY, virtual channel 6, is a dual Fox/MyNetworkTV-affiliated television station licensed to San Angelo, Texas, United States. The station is owned by McLean, Virginia-based Tegna Inc. KIDY's studios are located on South Chadbourne Street in San Angelo, and its transmitter is located in rural northwestern Tom Green County. The station also handles master control and some internal operations for sister station and fellow Fox affiliate KXVA in Abilene.

Meanwhile, Fox Television Stations signed up with MyNetworkTV, a new "sixth" network owned by then-parent company News Corporation's Fox Entertainment Group.

Spectrum News is the brand for a slate of American cable news television channels that are owned by Charter Communications through its acquisition of Time Warner Cable in May 2016. Each of the 15 regional channels primarily focus on local news, weather and sports coverage in their given areas, in addition to national and international news stories. With the exception of NY1, none of the six channels are available on other pay television providers in their respective markets, including Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-verse, DirecTV or Dish Network.
News 9 San Antonio was a 24-hour cable news featuring a rolling news format, serving the San Antonio, Texas region. It was a joint venture by Belo Corp. and Time Warner Cable. The cable channel started up in April 2003, and was shut down on July 23, 2004, citing low viewership and a lack of advertising revenue. It was shut down along with sister cable station News 24 Houston. Upon closure, both News 24 and News 9 had instructed viewers to leave their thoughts and comments about the cable channels on sister station News 8 Austin's message boards. This had also affected former sister cable channel News 14 Carolina, which reverted to full Time Warner Control when Belo exited the joint venture, costing 50 jobs at that statewide cable channel's various news bureaus.
