Arizona NewsChannel was a 24-hour regional cable news television channel based in Phoenix, Arizona. The service was owned by Meredith Corporation, and is operated as a joint venture with independent station KTVK. The channel first launched on November 4, 1996. [1] [2]

The Arizona NewsChannel rebroadcast KTVK's local newscasts in a 24-hour format with the ability to cut in for breaking news. The service broadcast primarily on Cox Communications channel 82 (formerly 14) to the Phoenix Metro Area. [3] [4]

Phoenix news helicopter collision 2007 aviation accident

On July 27, 2007, two AS-350 AStar helicopters from television stations KNXV-TV and KTVK collided in mid-air over Phoenix, Arizona, while covering a police pursuit. On board the two aircraft were four people in total – pilot Craig Smith and photographer Rick Krolak from KNXV-TV, and pilot Scott Bowerbank and photographer Jim Cox from KTVK – all of whom were killed, while no casualties were reported on the ground.

YurView Arizona is an American cable television channel serving Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The station is owned by Cox Communications. The station's studio facilities are located on the northwest end of Phoenix. The transmission signal is available to Cox cable television subscribers in central and southern Arizona, which includes the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas.
