Nicola Morris

Nicola Morris (born 9 September 1967) is a former judo competitor from New Zealand. [1] At the 1990 Commonwealth Games she won a bronze medal in women's judo. [2] [3]

Morris was born in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1967. She competed in national and regional judo championships including the New Zealand Championships in 1988 and the Oceania Championships in 1990. [4] She represented New Zealand at international level twice: at the 1990 Commonwealth Games and the 1992 Summer Olympics. [2]

Internationally active throughout the 1980's and 1990's, Briggs was a multiple World (four-time) and European (five-time) champion, represented Great Britain at the 1992 Olympic Games, and won gold for England at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. She is a member of the IJF Hall of Fame, and recognised as one of the most successful British and female judoka of all time.
