The Marasmiaceae are a family of fungi in the order Agaricales. Basidiocarps are most frequently agarics, but occasionally cyphelloid. According to a 2008 estimate, the family contained 54 genera and 1590 species, but molecular research, based on cladistic analysis of DNA sequences, has led to a more restricted family concept, so that the Marasmiaceae included just 13 genera, and some 1205 species. It was reduced further down in 2020, to 10 genera and about 700 species.

Boletochaete is a genus of fungi in the family Boletaceae. The genus contains three species found in Africa and southeast Asia. American mycologist Rolf Singer circumscribed the genus in 1944.

Collybia Genus of fungi

Collybia is a genus of mushrooms in the family Tricholomataceae. The genus has a widespread but rare distribution in northern temperate areas, and contains three species that grow on the decomposing remains of other mushrooms.

Phlebopus Genus of fungi

Phlebopus is a genus of fungi in the family Boletinellaceae. The genus has a widespread distribution in subtropical and pantropical regions, and contains 12 species. The species are saprobic, with some possibly able to form mycorrhizae with exotic trees in certain conditions. It contains the gigantic Phlebopus marginatus, the cap of which can reach 1 m (3.3 ft) in diameter.

Callistosporium Genus of fungi

Callistosporium is a genus of fungi in the order Agaricales. Basidiocarps are agarics, either with a central stipe (stalk) or pleurotoid. The latter group were formerly referred to Pleurocollybia. Recent molecular research, based on cladistic analysis of DNA sequences, has shown that the genus is a natural, monophyletic grouping, though not all species have yet been sequenced. Species are saprotrophic, typically growing on wood, and the genus is found worldwide.

Palaeocephala is a genus of fungi. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Palaeocephala cymatelloides, described by Rolf Singer in 1962. According to the Dictionary of the Fungi, the genus is classified in either the Marasmiaceae or Physalacriaceae families; the taxonomical database MycoBank includes it in the Marasmiaceae.

Amyloflagellula is a genus of fungi in the family Marasmiaceae.

Aphyllotus is a fungal genus in the family Marasmiaceae. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Aphyllotus campanelliformis, found in Colombia. Both the species and the genus were described by mycologist Rolf Singer in 1973.

Cephaloscypha is a fungal genus in the family Marasmiaceae. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Cephaloscypha morlichensis. The genus and species were described by mycologist Reinhard Agerer in 1975.

Clitocybula Genus of fungi

Clitocybula is a genus of mushroom-forming fungi in the family Porotheleaceae but was originally classified within Marasmiaceae. The genus was circumscribed by Georges Métrod in 1952. Species in the genus are commonly known as "coincaps".

Epicnaphus is a genus of mushroom-forming fungi in the family Marasmiaceae. The genus, circumscribed by mycologist Rolf Singer in 1960, contains two species found in South America. Fruitbodies of Epicnaphus species are similar in appearance to those in Marasmius section Sicci, but have a smooth hymenium and broom cells of the Rotalis-type. Singer initially included only the type species, E. phalaropus, which was originally collected from fallen branches in a Bolivian rainforest. The Argentinian species E. longispora was added to the genus by Jörg Raithelhuber in 1973.

Lactocollybia Genus of fungi

Lactocollybia is a genus of agaric fungi in the family Marasmiaceae. The widespread genus contains 17 species, many of which are found in tropical areas.

Manuripia is a fungal genus in the family Marasmiaceae. It is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Manuripia bifida, found in South America.

Skepperiella is a genus of fungus in the family Marasmiaceae. The widespread genus contains four species. The genus was circumscribed by Albert Pilát in Bull. Soc. Mycol. France vol.43 on page 56 in 1927.

Campanella (fungus) Genus of fungi

Campanella is a genus of fungi in the family Marasmiaceae. The genus has a widespread distribution, especially in tropical regions, and contains about 40 species.

Pyrrhoglossum is a genus of fungus in the family Cortinariaceae. The genus is widely distributed, especially in tropical regions, and contains 11 species. It was circumscribed by American mycologist Rolf Singer in 1944.

Xanthoconium stramineum Species of fungus

Xanthoconium stramineum is a species of bolete fungus and the type species of the genus Xanthoconium. First described as a species of Gyroporus by William Alphonso Murrill in 1940, it was placed in its current genus by Rolf Singer in 1944.

Xanthoconium affine Species of fungus

Xanthoconium affine is an edible species of bolete fungus of the genus Xanthoconium. First described as a species of Boletus by Charles Horton Peck in 1873, it was placed in its current genus by Rolf Singer in 1944.
