The fourth season of Nouvelle Star began on February 22, 2006. All the judges returned to the panel and Benjamin Castaldi was set to host for a fourth time. However after the season went halfway through he was replaced by Virginie Efira on May 24. [1] Auditions were held in the following cities:

Due to problems with the voting lines the results from the original top 14, in which the 10 finalists were supposed to be determined, were voided and the four original eliminated contestants received a second chance in the following week which resulted in all of them making the cut while four original top 10 contestants were eliminated in the semifinals. In the end Christophe Willem who was never in the Bottom group triumphed over Dominique Michalon who was in the Bottom group before the finals.

<i>American Idol</i> (season 4) Season of television series

The fourth season of American Idol premiered on January 18, 2005, and continued until May 25, 2005. It was hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell also returned to judge. Carrie Underwood won the season with approximately 500 million votes cast in the season and 37 million for the finale. Underwood has since gone on to become an eight-time Grammy-winning country megastar. It was also the first season of the series to be aired in high definition.

Latin American Idol was the Hispanic American edition of the popular British franchise of Idols, well known for its American version American Idol. The show aimed to discover the pop idol of the Hispanic American region. The show was filmed in Buenos Aires and was transmitted to over 23 nations in the region via the Sony Entertainment Television network.

One in a Million is Malaysia's first ever reality singing competition to offer a RM 1 million prize to the winner. The third season, which was aired from 23 January to 1 May 2009, was won by Shah Indrawan Ismail, the first male and first established artist.

<i>StarStruck</i> (season 2) Season of television series

The second season of StarStruck, is a Philippine television reality talent competition show, was broadcast on GMA Network. Hosted by Dingdong Dantes with the StarStruck Kids host, Jolina Magdangal, it premiered on October 11, 2004. The council was composed of Joey de Leon, Christopher de Leon and Louie Ignacio. There were slight changes made in the Council, Joyce Bernal was replaced by Louie Ignacio. The season ended with 96 episodes on February 20, 2005, having Mike Tan and Ryza Cenon as the Ultimate Survivors.

The second and most recent series of British reality television show Pop Idol aired on ITV on from 13 September to 20 December 2003. Michelle McManus was announced as the winner and received a £1 million recording contract to release her debut album. Ant & Dec returned to present the show on ITV, whilst Simon Cowell, Neil Fox, Nicki Chapman and Pete Waterman all returned as judges.

Academy Fantasia, Season 6 is the sixth season of Academy Fantasia which premiered on True Visions on June 29, 2009.

<i>The X Factor</i> (British series 7) Season of television series

The X Factor is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The seventh series started on ITV on 21 August 2010 and ended on 12 December 2010. The series saw the creation of the boy band One Direction, from boys who entered the competition as individuals. The winner of the competition was Matt Cardle. Cardle was mentored throughout the show by Dannii Minogue. After the victory, he released his debut single "When We Collide". A total of 15,448,019 votes were cast throughout the series. It was presented by Dermot O'Leary, with spin-off show The Xtra Factor presented by Konnie Huq on ITV2, who took over from Holly Willoughby.

Academy Fantasia, Season 7 is the seventh season of Academy Fantasia which premiered on True Visions on June 27, 2010.

Idols South Africa II was the third season of South African reality interactive talent show based on the British talent show Pop Idol. It was aired from June 2003, exactly one year after the first season ended, to October of the same year. With Colin Moss and Letoya Makhene new hosts were introduced and half of the judging panel was replaced as Mara Louw and Gareth Cliff replaced Penny Lebyane and Marcus Brewster. The number of finalists was increased to 12 but only two male contestants made it through the semifinal group of the top 32: Jacques Terre'Blanche and Wafeeq Saffodien who both eventually managed to reach the top 5. Originally chosen as a wildcard winner, Francisca Blasisch suddenly quit and was replaced by Khwezi Kekana in the top 12 where she was voted off in the first liveshow. Due to technical issues the voting was voided in the week of 28 September were the contestants where singing songs by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and nobody was sent home that week. On 20 October 2003 Anke Pietrangeli, who was nicknamed The Kimberley Diamond by her supporters, won over fellow-finalist Poseletso Sejosingoe in the Gold Reef City Hippodrome Theatre.

The eighth season of Indonesian Idol, also known as Indonesian Idol 2014: A Decade of Dreams, premiered on RCTI on December 27, 2013. Anang Hermansyah and Ahmad Dhani returned as the judges. Agnes Monica was replaced by Tantri of Kotak, and Titi DJ, who returned to the show for her sixth season after her absence in season 6 and 7. Raisa and Indra Lesmana replace Titi and Anang during the Yogyakarta auditions. Later during the Spectacular weeks, Raisa replaced Titi during the Top 9 performances and Tantri during the Top 5. Indra replaced Tantri during the Top 8 performances. Daniel Mananta returns as the host.

The first season of Pakistan Idol premiered on Geo on 6 December 2013 and continued until 24 April 2014. It was won by Zamad Baig. The first season was hosted by Mohib Mirza, while Anoushey Ashraf joined in semi-finals and also hosted the spin-off show Pakistan Idol-Sur Ka Safar.

<i>StarStruck</i> (season 7) Season of television series

The seventh season of StarStruck, is a Philippine television reality talent competition show, was broadcast on GMA Network. The fifteenth season of the American reality television show, The Voice premiered on September 24, 2018, on NBC. Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake Shelton returned as coaches from the previous season. Jennifer Hudson, who last coached in season 13, returned for her second season replacing Alicia Keys. <i>Singer</i> (season 7) Seventh season of Chinese television series Singer

The seventh season of Chinese television series Singer was broadcast on Hunan Television between January and April 2019. Singer 2019 was produced by Hong Tao, and its music director was Hong Kong senior musician Kubert Leung. The first episode was recorded on January 4, 2019, and first premiered in Mango TV on January 11, 2019. YouTube also broadcast the episodes with the results replaced by commercial snippets.

The twenty-first season of the American reality television series The Voice premiered on September 20, 2021, on NBC. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend returned as coaches for their twenty-first, eighth, and sixth seasons, respectively. Ariana Grande made her first appearance as a coach this season, replacing Nick Jonas. Meanwhile, Carson Daly returned for his twenty-first season as host.

<i>Idol Philippines</i> (season 2) Season of television series

The second season of reality singing television competition Idol Philippines premiered on June 25, 2022 on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and TV5 aired until its season finale on September 18, 2022. It was the first season to not air on ABS-CBN after the network was ordered by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and Solicitor General Jose Calida to cease and desist its free-to-air television and radio broadcast operations on May 5, 2020, following the expiration of its congressional franchise.
