Oliver Jonathan Moss (born 24 January 1987) is an English graphic artist, best known for his reimagining of movie posters. His work has been released by Mondo and is regularly featured in Empire magazine. [1]
Moss graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2008, having studied literature. [2] Moss is a regular guest on the IGN UK [3] and A Life Well Wasted podcasts. [4] His illustration work began as a hobby, but showing his work on the Internet led to commissions and helped him to make his way through university by creating popular T-shirt designs on Threadless. [5] He initially wanted to pursue a career in advertising but ended up enjoying graphic design and illustration.
Moss was commissioned by Marvel Entertainment executives Craig Kyle and Kevin Feige to create a poster for the cast of Thor . [5] His Other notable works include the cover artwork for the 2011 video game Resistance 3 , [6] which prompted a trailer to be created in a similar style. [7] He also created the covers for the first digital copies of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter book series, as well as a seven-part series of prints based on each book. [8] [9] In February 2013, to coincide with the 85th Academy Awards, Moss released a poster wherein eighty-five years' worth of Best Picture winners are represented with individual Oscar statuettes. Along with creating custom posters for works such as Dirty Harry , [12] The Evil Dead , [13] RoboCop , [12] My Neighbor Totoro , [14] and the Star Trek episode "The Trouble with Tribbles", Moss is most notable for his set of posters based on the original Star Wars trilogy. [15] In the posters, Star Wars , The Empire Strikes Back , and Return of the Jedi are represented using imagery from each film within coloured silhouettes of C-3PO, Boba Fett, and Darth Vader, respectively. The posters were released in 2010 with a limit of 400 copies each, at a price of $50 each. [16] In 2021, it was reported that a complete set of the three posters was listed on eBay for a price of $10,900.00. [17]
In September 2013, Moss and Mark of the Ninja lead designer Nels Anderson joined with former Telltale Games employees Jake Rodkin and Sean Vanaman to found Campo Santo. [18] Moss worked closely on the design and was art director for the studio's first release, Firewatch . Inspired by the iconic style of the 1960s National Park posters, Firewatch echoes Moss’s graphic style. Moss was responsible for the game’s color and lighting scheme [19] and handled all of the environment design language, and he also created various logos and designs for the props in Firewatch.
Moss left Campo Santo in 2016, [20] and is now working for Valve. [21] He worked as an artist on Half-Life: Alyx , [22] and co-wrote with Sean Vanaman the August 23, 2017 issue of the Rick and Morty comic series, for the one-shot "Hitler Baby, One More Time". [23]

Alyx Vance is a fictional character from Valve's Half-Life video game series. She is introduced as a non-playable, supporting character in Half-Life 2 (2004), accompanying the player's character, Gordon Freeman, throughout much of the game. Sean Vanaman is an American video game designer, writer, and podcaster. He was the co-project leader and lead writer of The Walking Dead, and Puzzle Agent 2. He also wrote the third episode of Tales of Monkey Island, and was the designer of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, and the writer of the third episode, Muzzled. He was one of the regular hosts of the Idle Thumbs podcast and is one of the co-founders of Campo Santo, the company that produced Firewatch.
Source Filmmaker is a 3D computer graphics software tool published by Valve for creating animated films, which uses the Source game engine. Source Filmmaker has been used to create many community-based animated shorts for various Source games, such as Team Fortress 2, the Left 4 Dead series, and Half-Life 2.

Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network's nighttime programming block Adult Swim. The series follows the misadventures of Rick Sanchez, a cynical mad scientist, and his good-hearted but fretful grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic life and interdimensional adventures that take place across an infinite number of realities, often traveling to other planets and dimensions through portals and on Rick's flying saucer. The general concept of Rick and Morty relies on two conflicting scenarios: domestic family drama and a misanthropic grandfather dragging his grandson into hijinks.
Firewatch is an adventure game developed by Campo Santo and published by the developer in partnership with Panic. The game was released in February 2016 for Linux, OS X, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in September 2016, and for Nintendo Switch in December 2018. The story follows a fire lookout named Henry who works in Shoshone National Forest. Henry interacts with his supervisor Delilah using a walkie-talkie, with the player choosing from dialog options to communicate. His exchanges with Delilah inform the process by which their relationship is developed. Over the course of the summer, Henry and Delilah appear to be menaced by unseen forces and have to unravel a years-old mystery.

Founded in September 2013 by Sean Vanaman, Jake Rodkin, Nels Anderson, and Olly Moss, the studio is best known for its debut game released in 2016, Firewatch. The company was acquired by Valve in April 2018.
Source 2 is a video game engine developed by Valve. The engine was announced in 2015 as the successor to the original Source engine, with the first game to use it, Dota 2, being ported from Source that same year. Founded in 2004 as Mondo Tees, the company is a former subsidiary of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain in Austin, Texas, and currently hosts a permanent gallery space there which features original artwork and custom posters.
