Pages is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter Shaznay Lewis, released through her independent record label 1.9.7.5 Recordings on 17 May 2024. It is Lewis' first album in 20 years and features collaborations with Self Esteem, Shola Ama and General Levy. Lewis launched the album with her first solo headlining show at The Jazz Cafe on 14 May 2024.
Lewis partnered with Absolute Label Services for the manufacturing and distribution of Pages. [2] On 29 January 2024, the album was made available for pre-order on CD, and limited edition white vinyl and cassette tape formats. [3] [4] A CD with an art card signed by Lewis was made available exclusively on Amazon. [5] A signed test pressing, and various bundles with T-shirts and signed prints were sold on Lewis' webstore. [6] To promote Pages, Lewis appeared on Sunday Brunch on 4 February. [2] On 11 February, she performed "Kiss of Life" with the BBC Concert Orchestra in BBC Radio 2's Piano Room. [7] On 30 April, Lewis appeared on The One Show . [8] Lewis launched the album with a headlining show at The Jazz Cafe in Camden Town on 14 May. [2] She is scheduled to play Nocturne Live, [9] Mighty Hoopla and Glastonbury Festival in June, [2] [10] and Party in the Park in September. [2]
The lead single "Miracle" was released on 12 January 2024. [11] It entered the UK Singles Downloads Chart at number 80. [12] "Kiss of Life" was released on 1 February as the second single, accompanied by a music video directed by Oscar J Ryan. [3] The single peaked at number 84 on UK Singles Downloads Chart. [13] On 12 April, "Good Mourning" featuring Shola Ama and General Levy was released as the third single alongside a music video directed by Ryan. [14] "Got to Let Go" was released as the fourth single on 3 May. [15]

In his review for The Line of Best Fit , Quentin Harrison praised Lewis' energetic singing technique and bravura, and believed Pages contained "strong songs rife with all sorts of compositional details worth discovering". Harrison applauded Lewis' observational songwriting, and the sociopolitical commentary in the songs "Peaches" and "Awake (Motu)" which he felt promoted unity among African diaspora. [1] John Earls of Classic Pop magazine said Lewis thrived as soloist on an album that exuded confidence and eclecticism, calling it "12 further reminders of her varied skills within most forms of pop." [16] The Observer 's Tara Joshi wrote that although "a little clunky in places", the album is "a mostly sumptuous set of turn-of-the-millennium-style pop". [17] Culture Fix shared the album as one of their best albums of 2024, describing its "stunning showcase of emotive songwriting, sumptuous vocals, and striking harmonies." [19]

Melanie Ruth Blatt is an English singer. She rose to fame in 1997 as a member of the girl group All Saints. The group have gained five UK number-one singles, two multi-platinum albums and two BRIT Awards, and have sold over 10 million records worldwide.
Tricia Marie "Shaznay" Lewis is an English singer and songwriter. Lewis rose to fame as a member of the girl group All Saints which she formed with Melanie Blatt in 1993. As a member of All Saints, Lewis won two Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello Award, and co-wrote three of the group's five UK number-one singles: "Never Ever", "Bootie Call" and "Pure Shores". In 2002, Lewis starred in the film Bend It Like Beckham.
Siobhán Emma Donaghy is an English singer and songwriter, best known as a founding member of the girl group Sugababes. Donaghy left Sugababes in 2001 and released her debut solo album, Revolution in Me, in 2003. Her second studio album, Ghosts, was released in 2007 and met critical acclaim.
Shola Ama is a British singer from London, who scored her biggest hits with "You Might Need Somebody" (1997), a cover of Randy Crawford's 1981 hit, "You're the One I Love" and "Still Believe" (1999) which was one of the first productions by the Norwegian producing team Stargate.

Group member Shaznay Lewis and producer William Orbit wrote the song for a scene in the 2000 adventure drama film, The Beach. Eschewing the R&B sound of All Saints' previous releases, "Pure Shores" is a dream pop song with ambient and electronic production, and a syncopation of synth delays, arpeggiated guitar and ethereal sound effects. It was released by London Records on 14 February 2000 as the lead single from the film's soundtrack and Saints & Sinners.

In Return is the second studio album by British singer Shola Ama. It was released by Freakstreet and WEA on 8 November 1999. The album saw Ama working with various producers such as Fred Jerkins III, Stargate, Soulshock and Karlin, D'Influence and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Ama would also co-write some of the songs on the album, along with Angie Stone, Babyface, and David Foster.
Rachel Chinouriri is an English singer-songwriter. After posting numerous songs on SoundCloud, she began releasing music on major streaming platforms in 2018. She released her debut extended play (EP), Mama's Boy, in 2019 to critical acclaim. One of the songs from the EP, "So My Darling", received attention on TikTok when it became a popular audio to use.
