Painted Ruins is the fifth studio album by American rock band Grizzly Bear, released on August 18, 2017, by RCA Records. Along with the announcement of the album, the band announced a fall European and North American tour. [5]
Grizzly Bear spent two years writing and recording for the album. [6] Band member Chris Taylor produced Painted Ruins, with recording sessions occurring primarily at Allaire Studios in Shokan, New York, but also at various locations around Los Angeles, including Taylor's own Terrible Studios. [1]
Prior to the release of the first single from the album, the band uploaded a series of mysterious teaser videos to their YouTube account. [7] [8] [9] [10]
On May 4, 2017, the first single from the album, "Three Rings", was released. [11] [12] [13] [14] The song was officially released at midnight in each successive time zone across the globe, [15] [16] and was later uploaded to their YouTube channel. [17]
On May 17, Grizzly Bear revealed the name and release date of the upcoming album, [18] and also announced their first tour in four years, beginning in Dublin, Ireland on October 5, and continuing through the end of the year, with concerts in Europe and North America. [19] Later that same day, Grizzly Bear released the second single from the album, "Mourning Sound". [20] [21]
On June 23, the band released the third track from the record, "Four Cypresses". [22] [23]
On July 21, the band released the fourth single from the record, "Neighbors". [24] [25]

Painted Ruins has received acclaim from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album has an average score of 82 out of 100, which indicates "universal acclaim" based on 29 reviews. [27]

The Masterplan is a compilation album by English rock band Oasis. It was released on 2 November 1998 by Creation Records, the band's final release through the label. It comprises B-sides which never made it onto an album up to that point. Originally intended for release only in areas such as the United States and Japan, where the tracks were previously only available on expensive European-import singles, The Masterplan reached number 2 in the UK, where it initially went platinum, and number 51 in the United States. However, it did reach the Top 20 in various charts around the world, going on to sell 3 million copies. It has since been certified triple platinum in the UK. Four songs from the album appear on the 2006 compilation album Stop the Clocks.

They have sold over 5 million singles worldwide. After 2018 ended, DNCE went on hiatus as lead singer Joe Jonas and drummer Jack Lawless resumed work with the Jonas Brothers after their reunion in 2019. DNCE returned in February 2022.
The Getaway is the eleventh studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released through Warner Bros. on June 17, 2016. The band's first studio album since 2011's I'm with You, it was produced by Danger Mouse, who replaced Rick Rubin after 25 years and six albums as the band's producer. This is the band's second and final album with guitarist Josh Klinghoffer before the return of John Frusciante in 2019, with Rubin also returning soon thereafter.

"J-Boy" was the first single, released on 27 April 2017, "Ti Amo" was the second, released on 18 May. The third single, "Goodbye Soleil" was released on 2 June. The album received generally positive reviews from critics. It was a modest commercial success, peaking at number 17 in France and within the top 40 in Australia, Belgium, and Switzerland.

The Now Now is the sixth studio album recorded by the British virtual band Gorillaz, released on 29 June 2018 via Parlophone and Warner Bros. Records. Recording for the album began in late 2017 – according to Gorillaz co-creator Damon Albarn, it was recorded quickly so the band would have new material to play at future concerts.
