According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the community has an area of 31.323 square miles (81.13 km2); 30.248 square miles (78.34 km2) of its area is land, and 1.075 square miles (2.78 km2) is water. [1]
Pinellas County is located on the west central coast of the state of Florida. As of the 2010 census, the population was 916,542. The county is part of the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. Clearwater is the county seat.
