The University of Missouri Women's Hospital, formerly University of Missouri Women's and Children's Hospital, is the only hospital in Missouri exclusively dedicated to the health of women and infants. The hospital was formerly home to MU Children's Hospital, and is currently home to MU Women's Center, and the Family Birth Center. The Women's Hospital no longer has a pediatric Emergency Room and inpatient services, having moved to University Hospital. In Fiscal Year 2009, 1,793 babies were born in the Family Birth Center. The hospital offers the da Vinci minimally invasive surgical robotic system. It is located in eastern Columbia near the interchange of Interstate 70 and U.S. 63.
The Center for National Response is located inside a former 2,802 feet (854 m) two-lane vehicular tunnel opened November 8, 1954 as part of the West Virginia Turnpike. Originally known as Memorial Tunnel, the tunnel formerly carried West Virginia Turnpike through/under Paint Creek Mountain in Standard, West Virginia in Kanawha County. Its construction required the movement of 91,000 cubic yards (70,000 m3) of earth, and was the first tunnel in the nation to have closed-circuit television monitoring. at a final cost of $5 million. The facility is administered by the West Virginia National Guard.

Magdeburg–Cochstedt Airport is a minor unscheduled airport located in Cochstedt, Germany. It is located approximately 37 km (23 mi) southwest of Magdeburg, capital of the Bundesland Saxony-Anhalt, and about 190 km west from the center of Berlin. As of 1 September 2016, the airport had been closed by the authorities and sold as a testing facility to the German Aerospace Center in 2019.

AEDC Hypervelocity Wind Tunnel 9 is a hypersonic wind tunnel owned by the United States Air Force and operated by National Aerospace Solutions The facility can generate high Mach numbers and high Reynolds for hypersonic ground testing and the validation of computational simulations for the Air Force and Department of Defense.
