Persatuan Sepakbola Koepang Kota or Persekota (previously known as PSKK Kupang) is an Indonesian football club based in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. They currently compete in the Liga 3 East Nusa Tenggara Zone.

History

This club was previously called PSKK and officially changed its name to Persekota Koepang in 2023. [4] Apart from changing their name, they also changed their nickname from Laskar Abu Nae to Laskar Sonbai. According to Persekota management, Wilson Liyanto, the new name refers to the origin of the name Kupang which comes from the name of the king of Koen Pan who was called by the Dutch as Koepan. [3]

It is the largest city and port on the island of Timor, and is a part of the Timor Leste–Indonesia–Australia Growth Triangle free trade zone. Geographically, Kupang is the southernmost city in Indonesia.

El Tari International Airport, formerly Penfui Airport, is an airport in Kupang on the island of Timor in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The airport is named after El Tari (1926–1978), the governor of East Nusa Tenggara from 1966 to 1978. The airport's ICAO code was changed from WRKK to WATT in 2004. As of December 2018, there were at least 258 outbound flights per week from the airport.

PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, operating as TransNusa, is an Indonesian low-cost carrier based in Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta International Airport. In August 2011, TransNusa received its own air operator's certificate (AOC) and scheduled commercial airline permit, operating as a regional carrier.
