Peterborough is a cathedral city in the City of Peterborough district in Cambridgeshire, England, with a population of 215,700 in 2021. Originally part of Northamptonshire, it became part of Cambridgeshire from 1974. The city is 76 mi (122 km) north of London, on the River Nene which flows into the North Sea 30 mi (48 km) to the north-east. The railway station is an important stop on the East Coast Main Line between London and Edinburgh.

Heart Peterborough is an Independent Local Radio station serving Cambridgeshire, south Lincolnshire and west Norfolk. Launched on 10 July 1980 as Hereward Radio 225, the station was the first local service in the area, with the studios originally based in the back of a former pub in Bridge Street, Peterborough, before relocating to the Queensgate shopping centre in the city in 1987.

Mountain Jam is an annual music festival held in upstate New York that began in 2005. It has grown to become the largest rock music and camping festival in New York. The festival was held at Hunter Mountain ski resort for fourteen years, usually in early June. In February 2019, organizers for the Festival announced that the festival was moving to the location of the original Woodstock festival, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
The Queensgate shopping centre is located in the centre of the UK city of Peterborough, in Cambridgeshire. It contains over 100 stores and parking for 2,300 cars in four onsite multi-storey car parks. Queensgate bus station is located within the shopping centre and only a short walk from Peterborough railway station. Peterborough Shop Mobility provide wheelchairs and electric scooters to help those with limited mobility. The centre was opened by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands on 9 March 1982.
Cambridge 105 Radio is the Ofcom regulated community radio station for the city of Cambridge based on Gwydir Street Enterprise Centre. The station broadcasts across the City and South Cambridgeshire on 105 FM, on its website https://cambridge105.co.uk/ and on DAB Digital Radio seven days a week.
UTC Reading is a university technical college (UTC) that opened in Reading, Berkshire, England in September 2013. The Nene derby is the name of the association football local rivalry in England between Northampton Town and Peterborough United, both of which are based along the River Nene. Fans of both clubs consider the other to be one of their main rivals. The first competitive match between the two clubs took place in 1946 but the first professional derby took place in 1960. As of 16 April 2021, there has been 74 competitive matches between the two teams, with 34 wins for Peterborough, 21 wins for Northampton and 19 draws.
