Provo High School is a public secondary school located in Provo, Utah, United States. It is one of three high schools in the Provo City School District [2] and was the oldest secondary school in the city. In the Summer of 2017 the school district began building a new school. The school was finished in August 2018.
Provo High School was founded in 1912. It did not graduate its first students until 1921. The students originally met at Provo Center School before a specific high school building was built in 1920. The current Provo High School was built in 2018. [3]
In December 2015, the Provo City School District voted to sell the 25 acre property where Provo High School stands and move to a location in the western side of the city, rather than rebuild on the current site. [4] It was later revealed that nearby Brigham Young University was purchasing the land for $25 million. [5] The new high school site is located on a 42-acre plot at 1199 N. Lakeshore Drive. The layout includes three stories, three classroom wings, and three gymnasiums. It opened to the public in August 2018. [6]
Provo High School offers 23 distance learning classes through the Utah Valley University (UVU) Live Interactive program. [8]
With the concurrent enrollment program, Provo High School students are able to take a class and receive college credit from Utah Valley University. There are 37 classes available, and, depending on the course, students are required to have a 2.0+ GPA or a 3.0+ as a prerequisite. Students can earn from three to 30 credit hours. [9]
In 2016, 41% of students who took AP exams passed with a score of 3 or more, with a total number of 523 tests taken. In 2015, 51% of students passed AP exams. [10]
Provo High used to offer a "gifted talent magnet" program for 7th and 8th graders called Provo Unlimited Progress. PUP allowed academically gifted students to attend classes at the high school all day. PUP students are kept in classes together for core subjects except in special cases where students require more rigorous coursework. To get in, 6th graders at any of the nearby middle schools participate in a special testing session (usually in November or December) and parents must submit an online application for the student. They ended this program in the 2017-2018 year. [11]

Brigham Young University–Hawaii (BYU–Hawaii) is a private college in Laie, Hawaii, United States. It is owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. BYU–Hawaii was founded in 1955 and it became a satellite campus of Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1974. In 2004, it was made a separate institution. The college's sole focus is on undergraduate education.

Travis Mitchell Hansen is an American former professional basketball player. He played for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Hansen played college basketball for Utah Valley and BYU.
Utah County Academy of Sciences (UCAS) is a small charter high school in association with Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah, United States. UCAS students travel from school districts in the surrounding Utah County area, including Nebo School District, Alpine School District, and Provo School District.
The BYU Cougars are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Brigham Young University (BYU), located in Provo, Utah. BYU fields 21 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) varsity athletic teams. They are a member of the Big 12 Conference for all sports except men's volleyball which is a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. They were a member of the West Coast Conference from 2011 to 2022. From 1999 to 2011 they were a member of the Mountain West Conference and before the formation of the MW, the Cougars competed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the Mountain States Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference. BYU officially joined the Big 12 Conference on July 1, 2023.

From 2010 to 2021, he also served as an area seventy in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Worthen served previously at BYU as the Advancement Vice President and as dean of the J. The Utah Valley Wolverines represent Utah Valley University in NCAA DI collegiate athletics and sponsor 16 sporting programs. The Wolverines participate in the Western Athletic Conference. The school mascot is the Wolverine, and the colors are green and white. The UVU student section is called The Den. A name change from The Mawl, the student section's previous name, was enacted in 2017. All UVU students can get their Den pass, which includes free admission to all athletic events.
The Utah Valley Wolverines men's basketball team is a team that represents Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, United States. The team is currently coached by Todd Phillips. The school's team currently competes in the Western Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I college basketball. Its home games are played in the UCCU Center on the school's Orem, Utah campus. The Wolverines have yet to appear in the NCAA tournament since moving to Division I. The Wolverines joined the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in 2013 as part of the early-2010s NCAA conference realignment.

The Ryde is a bus service that provides transportation to the Brigham Young University (BYU) community in Provo, Utah, United States. The service is owned and operated by Student Movement, Inc. (SMI) and operates under the brand, "The Ryde". Although The Ryde began as a limited service paid shuttle bus, in the fall of 2015 it expanded to limited-service bus routes that are free to BYU students.

Vivint, Inc. was acquired in late 2012 for $2.2 Billion by the Blackstone Group. Following the sale of Vivint Nellesen invested in NUVI where he subsequently assumed the role of CEO from founder David Oldham. Nellesen, was CEO from May 2014 to October 2015 and again resumed the CEO position from Cameron Jensen in late 2016. Nellesen was previously chairman and CEO at MoneyReef.
