Distribution This species occurs in the Red Sea and in the Indian Ocean off Chagos , Kenya , Madagascar , the Mascarene Basin, Mauritius , Mozambique , Réunion , the Seychelles , Somalia and Tanzania and off Australia (Northern Territory, Queensland, Western Australia) and Vanuatu. [ 2]
