The Redmi Go is an Android Go [2] [3] [4] smartphone developed by Xiaomi under their Redmi subbrand. [5] [6] It was announced in February 2019 for Europe, India [7] and the Philippines.

Availability

The Redmi Go retails for 80 euros in European markets. [2] [8] It is available in the Philippines through Lazada for PHP3990 [9] and in India for INR4499. [7] The device will not be sold in Western markets.

Hardware

The Redmi Go has several similarities with the 4A and 5A. All three phones have the same display and processor, however, the Redmi Go has less RAM, less storage and a lower-resolution camera. [10] The dimensions and battery size are also identical to that of the 5A. A polycarbonate unibody construction is used, and black and blue color options are available. It lacks USB-C and instead relies on an older MicroUSB port. [11] Neither a fingerprint sensor nor facial recognition are present. [1]

Software

The Redmi Go runs on Android 8.1 "Oreo" Go Edition and does not use MIUI unlike other Redmi phones. [11]

Reception

Gadgets360 gave the Go a 7/10, praising the device's affordability, design and battery life, while criticizing the cameras as well as the limited RAM and storage. [12]

The top-end model of the device packs 6 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card up to 256 GB. The phone is a mid-range derivative of the flagship Xiaomi Mi 8, sharing similar design elements including its notch display and dual-camera placement, both of which resemble that of iPhone X.

The Redmi Note 7series refer to a series of smartphones released by Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi. All have 48 MP + 5 MP camera sensors. Most have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, except the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which has a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. The phones support mobile network frequencies in different regions. The Note 7 is available in many local versions and a global version, compatible with mobile phone providers in most places; the Pro model is supplied in slightly different Chinese and Indian versions. The Redmi Note 7S doesn't have much difference when compared to Redmi Note 7 except in case of the rear camera, hence the production of the Redmi Note 7S was discontinued and came under the Redmi Note 7 in India but it's still available separately in China and other countries.
