Redmi Note 8 is the series of Android-based smartphones as part of the Redmi Note series by Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi Inc. Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro were released on 29 August 2019 in an event held in China. [1] [2] The Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first smartphone to be equipped with a 64-megapixel camera. [2] The Note 8 Pro was released in Italy on 23 September 2019. [3]
Later on November 6, 2019, Redmi Note 8T with NFC support, the absence of an LED indicator, and bigger bezels compared to the Redmi Note 8, was released. Also On May 24, 2021, the Redmi Note 8 2021 (sometimes is written as Redmi Note 8 (2021)), which has a CPU from the Redmi Note 9 and newer software version, was released. [4]
The smartphone was succeeded by Redmi Note 9 Pro with a significant upgrade in 2020. [5]

The Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 2021 measures 158.3 mm × 75.3 mm × 8.4 mm (6.23 in × 2.96 in × 0.33 in), for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T, measures 165.5 mm × 76.7 mm × 8.8 mm (6.52 in × 3.02 in × 0.35 in). Both of them weighs 209 grams (7.4 oz). Redmi Note 8, Note 8T and Note 8 2021 have flat back while Redmi Note 8 Pro has back with curved sides. The front and back are made of Gorilla Glass 5, and the frame is made of plastic. The bezels, which are always painted in black, are small (except the chin at the bottom), however, the phone does wobble because of a camera bump raising the phone. It is also splash-proof and has a P2i water-repellent coating. There is a back-mounted fingerprint sensor in this phone. [11]

The Redmi Note 7series refer to a series of smartphones released by Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi. All have 48MP + 5MP camera sensors. Most have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, except the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which has a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. The phones support mobile network frequencies in different regions. The Note 7 is available in many local versions and a global version, compatible with mobile phone providers in most places; the Pro model is supplied in slightly different Chinese and Indian versions. The Redmi Note 7S doesn't have much difference when compared to Redmi Note 7 except in case of the rear camera, hence the production of the Redmi Note 7S was discontinued and came under the Redmi Note 7 in India but it's still available separately in China and other countries.
