Robertsburg is an unincorporated community in Putnam County, West Virginia, United States. Robertsburg is located on the east bank of the Kanawha River along West Virginia Route 62, 3 miles (4.8 km) north-northeast of Buffalo. Robertsburg had a post office, which opened on August 6, 1900, and closed on May 10, 1997.^[2]

Putnam County is a county located in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 55,486. Its county seat is Winfield. The county was founded in 1848 and is named for Israel Putnam, who was a hero in the French and Indian War and a general in the American Revolutionary War.

West Virginia is a state located in the Appalachian region in the Southern United States and is also considered to be a part of the Middle Atlantic States. It is bordered by Pennsylvania to the north, Maryland to the east and northeast, Virginia to the southeast, Kentucky to the southwest, and Ohio to the northwest. West Virginia is the 41st largest state by area, and is ranked 38th in population. The capital and largest city is Charleston.

The community was named after Samuel Roberts, an early settler and pioneer businessperson in the local lumber industry.^[3]
