Sana Dua is an Indian lawyer, motivational speaker, model and beauty pageant titleholder, who was declared as the Brand Ambassador of Election Commission Jammu & Kashmir for Lok Sabha Election 2019 by ECI. She won the title of Femina Miss India United Continents at Femina Miss India 2017. [1] [2] and became the First Miss India from J&K. [3]

She represented India at Miss United Continents 2017 contest in Guayaquil, Ecuador in September 2017 and made it to the top 10.[ citation needed ]

Early life and background

Sana was born in Assam, India to a Sikh family, whose roots are in Jammu and Kashmir. [4] [5] [6] Her father was in the Indian Army. Sana's elder brother Varun Dua, is a software engineer based in Melbourne, Australia. She finished her graduation in law at Punjab University in Chandigarh.

She practised law before entering the glamour world in 2015.[ citation needed ] Sana worked in Jammu and Kashmir High Court for a year while being attached with an advocate.[ citation needed ] Sana Dua won Femina Style Miss Diva North, 2016 award.[ citation needed ] She has worked extensively on the Save Water Campaign in Jammu.[ citation needed ]

After Miss India Competition

She launched her own startup, 'Image And Beyond By Sana Dua' in 2019 which intends to help young girls find their true potential towards modeling and pageantry.

She was appointed as State Director for Miss India Universe in 2024. [7]

Overseas engagements

In Aug 2022, Sana was invited by the ISKCON Temple in Albert Park, Melbourne, Australia to join their 48th Krishna Janamasthmi celebrations as a Guest of Honour, along with Victorian MP John Berger, and former Victorian Premier Hon. Ted Baillieu. Sana was invited to the event as a guest by former Ministerial Adviser Mr. Nitin Gupta.

During the same Melbourne trip, Sana had also attended an Indian independence day event in Cranbourne as a Guest of Honour, along with Victorian MP Pauline Richards, and ALP's Manoj Kumar. [8]

She represented India at Miss United Continents 2013 pageant and was crowned as Vice Queen of Miss United Continents 2013 on 14 September 2013. She was previously crowned as first Runner up at Miss Tourism International 2012 pageant.

Srishti Rana is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder. She participated in Miss Diva - Miss Universe India 2013 and won the title of Miss India Asia Pacific 2013. She went on to represent India at Miss Asia Pacific World 2013 in October 2013, which took place in Seoul, Korea. She emerged as the winner of the Miss Asia Pacific World title, beating 51 other contestants from different countries .The title sounds similar to the coveted Miss Asia Pacific International title won by Dia Mirza in 2000.

Sangeeta Sindhi Bahl became the oldest Indian woman to have scaled the world's tallest peak, when she summitted Mount Everest in May 2018, at the age of 53 years. She also became the first woman from the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir to scale the mountain. Bahl is a former Miss India finalist.

Femina Miss India 2019 was the 56th edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant. It was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Mumbai on June 15, 2019, and was hosted by Karan Johar, Manish Paul and Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar. At the end of the event, Anukreethy Vas of Tamil Nadu crowned Suman Rao of Rajasthan as her successor. She represented India at Miss World 2019 in London and placed 2nd Runner Up.

Tejaswini Manogna is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder. A medical doctor by profession, she won the title of Divine Miss Earth India 2019 and represented India at the 19th edition of the Miss Earth pageant held at Parañaque City, in the Philippines.
