Lopamudra Raut is an Indian actress, engineer and beauty pageant titleholder who represented India at Miss United continents and won this international pageant in Ecuador (South America) amongst 45 other countries. Lopamudra Raut also made it to the top in India's most desirable women's list. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

Early life and education

Raut was born on 7 October 1995 to Jeevan Raut and Ragini Raut in Nagpur. [7] She has a sister Bhagyashree Raut. [8] She is an Electrical Engineer. She did B.E in Electrical engineering from G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur . [9]

Career

Modeling and pageantry

Raut participated in Femina Miss India Goa in 2013 where she finished as 1st Runner Up. It gave her a direct entry to participate in Femina Miss India 2013 , where she was a finalist. She then participated in Femina Miss India 2014 where she won the subtitle of 'Miss Body Beautiful' and made it to the Top 5. In the same year, she took part in the Miss Diva 2014 pageant and made it to top 7 as a finalist. [10] In 2016, she was selected by Femina organizers to compete in the Miss United Continents pageant. [4] Raut was crowned as second runner up at Miss United Continents 2016 which took place on 25 September 2016, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. [5]

Bigg Boss and film debut

In 2016, Raut participated in Colors TV's Bigg Boss 10 as a celebrity contestant and emerged as the second runner up. [11] In 2017, Raut participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 and finished as a semi finalist. [12]

Raut will make her film debut with Blood Story, a psychological thriller. [13]

Raut was ranked 5th in Times Of India 's Maharashtra's Most Desirable Women List. [14]

She was also listed in Times of India 's 50 Most Desirable Women 2017. [15]

The second edition of Miss Diva was held on 14 October 2014. Fifteen contestants were shortlisted from thousands of aspirants in the country, who were mentored by Miss Universe 2000, Lara Dutta. At the end of the event, Miss Universe India 2013, Manasi Moghe crowned Noyonita Lodh as her successor. She represented India India at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant held in Doral, Florida, USA on 25 January 2015. The 53rd edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant was held on 9 April 2016 in Mumbai. Twenty-one contestants competed for the titles of Femina Miss India 2016. Aditi Arya crowned Priyadarshini Chatterjee as her successor. She represented India at Miss World 2016, Sushruthi Krishna was crowned as the 1st Runner Up by Aafreen Vaz, and Pankhuri Gidwani was crowned as the 2nd Runner Up by Vartika Singh.
