Sericoda quadripunctata is a species of ground beetle in the family Carabidae. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] It is found in Europe and Northern Asia (excluding China) and North America. [1]
S. quadripunctata is pyrophilic and can be extremely abundant in areas that have recently experienced wildfires. [6] The eggs of S. quadripunctata have a higher rate of survival in recently heat-sterilized soil, mainly due to reduced predation by other soil-dwelling invertebrates. [7]
