Solok Regency is an inland regency (kabupaten) of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It covers an area of 3,738 km2 and had a population of 348,566 at the 2010 Census [2] and 391,497 at the 2020 Census; [3] the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 397,829 - comprising 200,218 males and 197,611 females. [1] The administrative centre of the regency is the town of Arosuka, in Gunung Talang District. The city of Solok is administratively separate from the Regency (although almost totally enclaved geographically within the Regency) and its area and population are not included in these totals.
Solok Regency is divided into fourteen districts (kecamatan), listed below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census [2] and 2020 Census, [3] together with the official estimates as of mid-2022. [1] The table also includes the locations of the district administrative centres, the number of villages (nagari) in each district, and its postal code.

Besides mining, Solok Regency also has tourist attractions such as Mount Red and White (Gunung Merah Putih) in Nagari Sulit Air, with three waterfalls close to each other. Jonjang Seribu (The Thousand Step Staircase) is another natural attraction. [4]
Solok Regency has two lakes, separated by only 300 metres of land between them, so people call them the Twin Lakes. The upper lake is named as Danau Dibawah and the lower lake is named as Danau Diateh. [5] A much larger lake, Danau Singkarak, lies further north across the boundary between Solok Regency and Tanah Datar Regency.
Agam Regency is a regency of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 2,226.27 km2 and had a population of 454,853 at the 2010 census and 529,138 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 540,905. The regency seat is the town of Lubuk Basung. Bukittinggi city is surrounded by this regency but is not administratively included in it.
Sijunjung Regency, formerly known as Sawahlunto Sijunjung, is an inland regency (kabupaten) in West Sumatra, Indonesia. The Regency covers an area of 3,130.80 km2, and it had a population of 201,823 at the 2010 census and 235,045 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 240,317 - comprising 121,880 males and 118,437 females. The regency seat is the town of Muaro Sijunjung. The regency was created from the former Sawahlunto Regency, after the districts comprising Sawahlunto town became a city, administratively separated from the regency, which was then renamed.
Ende Regency is a regency on the island of Flores, within East Nusa Tenggara Province of Indonesia. The capital is the town of Ende. The regency covers an area of 2,085.19 km2, and it had a population of 260,605 at the 2010 Census and 270,763 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 273,553. It is bordered to the west by Nagekeo Regency and to the east by Sikka Regency.
Tanah Datar Regency is a landlocked regency (kabupaten) in West Sumatra province, Indonesia. The regency has an area of 1,336 km2, and had a population of 338,484 at the 2010 Census, which rose to 371,704 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 376,276 - comprising 188,551 males and 187,725 females. The regency seat is the town of Batusangkar. The city of Padang Panjang is also geographically located within the regency but constitutes a municipality of its own.
Sampang Regency is a regency of East Java province, Indonesia. It is situated on Madura Island, bordering on Pamekasan Regency to the east, the Java Sea to the north, Bangkalan Regency to the west, and Madura Strait to the south. It covers an area of 1,233.3 km2, and had a population of at the 2010 census 877,772 and at the 2020 census 969,694; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 984,162 - comprising 488,673 males and 495,489 females. The administrative centre is the port of Sampang, on the south coast of Madura.
Cianjur Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of West Java, Indonesia. The area of the regency is 3,614.35 km2 and its population at the 2010 Census was 2,171,281; the 2020 Census produced a total of 2,477,560 and the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 2,542,793. The district of Cianjur is its seat. Northern parts of the regency form a valley, and are far more densely populated than southern regions. As such, a portion of the northern valley was briefly included in a definition of Greater Jakarta called Jabodetabekjur.
Majalengka Regency is the landlocked regencies (kabupaten) in West Java, Indonesia. The administrative centre is the town of Pulau Punjung. In the past, this regency was the location of an independent Kingdom of Dharmasraya, which came to power in the 11th century.
Padang Pariaman Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 1,343.09 km2, and it had a population of 390,204 at the 2010 census and 430,626 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 436,129 - comprising 217,933 males and 218,196 females. The regency seat is at the town of Parit Malintang. West Sumatra's capital and biggest city, Padang, is surrounded on the landward side by this regency.

The regency seat is at the town of Painan, in IV Jurai District.
South Solok Regency is a landlocked regency (kabupaten) of West Sumatra province, Indonesia. It covers an area of 3,346.20 km2, and had a population of 144,281 at the 2010 Census and 182,027 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 188,649 - comprising 96,301 males and 92,348 females. The seat of the administration is the town of Padang Aro.
Kerinci is a regency (kabupaten) in Jambi province, on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. The regency has an area of 3,448.90 km2 (1,331.63 sq mi). Kerinci Regency had a population of 229,495 at the 2010 Census and 250,259 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 253,863. The regency largely surrounds the city of Sungai Penuh, which until its separation on 24 June 2008 was part of the regency but is now independent of it. The regency seat is at Siulak. Kerinci is located 50 km (31 mi) from Jambi City, the capital of Jambi Province. Much of the landmass of the Kerinci regency is within the boundaries of the Kerinci Seblat National Park
Central Aceh Regency is a regency in Aceh Special Region of Indonesia. It is located on Sumatra island. Formerly this regency covered a much larger area; in 1969, the Southeast Aceh Regency was separated from the Central Aceh Regency, and in 2003 the Bener Meriah Regency was separated from the remaining Central Aceh Regency. The remaining regency covers an area of 4,468.42 square kilometres and had a population of 175,527 according to the 2010 census, which rose to 215,576 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 222,673 - comprising 112,900 males and 109,773 females. Most of its inhabitants are Gayo. Central Aceh is famous for its Lake Laut Tawar. Its capital is Takengon, in Lut Tawar District.
North Bengkulu is a regency of Bengkulu Province, Indonesia, on the island of Sumatra. It originally covered much of the northern part of Bengkulu Province, but on 25 February 2003 the most northwesterly districts were split off to form a separate Mukomuko Regency, and on 24 June 2008 the most southeastern districts were likewise split off to create a new Central Bengkulu Regency. The residual regency now covers an area of 4,424.59 km2, and it had a population of 257,675 at the 2010 Census and 296,523 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 302,833. The administrative centre is at the town of Arga Makmur.
Jayapura Regency is one of the regencies (kabupaten) in Papua Province of Indonesia. It is situated to the west of but does not include the city of Jayapura. Previously covering most of the north-east portion of Papua province, it was reduced substantially in extent from 12 November 2002, when the eastern districts were split off to form a new Keerom Regency and the western districts were split off to form a new Sarmi Regency. It now covers an area of 17,516.6 km2, and had a population of 111,943 at the 2010 Census and 166,171 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 171,331. The administrative centre is the town of Sentani, with 73,927 inhabitants in mid 2022.
East Luwu Regency is the most easterly of the twenty-one regencies in South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. The regency was created on 25 February 2003 by separation of the eastern districts from North Luwu Regency. It covers an area of 6,944.88 km2. The administrative capital of the regency is the coastal town of Malili on the Bay of Usu, itself an inlet in the northeast corner of the Gulf of Bone; the town, with its port of Balantang, is the shipping port for one of the world's major nickel-producing plants. The population of the Regency was 243,069 at the 2010 Census and 296,741 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 305,521.
Central Lampung Regency is a regency of the province of Lampung, on Sumatra, Indonesia. On 20 April 1999, two areas were separated from the original regency - the southeastern portion was split off to form a separate East Lampung Regency, while the town of Metro was created as an independent city. The reduced regency has an area of 4,545.50 km2 and had a population of 1,170,048 people at the 2010 census and 1,460,045 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 1,500,002. The regency seat is the town of Gunung Sugih.
West Tulang Bawang Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 29 October 2008 from what were formerly the western districts of Tulang Bawang Regency. It has an area of 1,201.15 km2 and had a population of 250,707 people at the 2010 Census and 286,162 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 289,620. The regency seat is the town of Panaragan Jaya.
