Srinivas University is a private university [2] located in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. The university was established in 2015 by the A. Shama Rao Foundation through the Srinivas University Act, 2013. [3]

It is part of the Srinivas Group of Institutions. Srinivas University held it sixth annual convocation ceremony on 10 February 2024 at its Mukka, Surathkal campus. [4]

It dates back to the 16th century. With its headquarters in Brahma Ghat, Varanasi. Kashi Math has followers all over the Konkan belt, prominently in Mumbai, Goa, Udupi, Mangalore, Kochi and other parts of Karnataka and Kerala.

Kaniyooru, also spelled Kaniyooru, is a village in Kadaba taluk in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka state, India. It houses one of the Ashta Mathas established by Madhvacharya, the Dvaita philosopher. The village is located on Mangalore to Bangalore broadguage railway line. There is a railway station at Kaniyooru. The railway station of Kaniyooru can be accessed by passenger trains running between Mangaluru and Subramanya road stations. The state highway 100 (SH-100) connecting Puttur to Kukke Subramanya passes through this village. There are frequent buses from Puttur to Kaniyooru to Kukke subhramanya.

The Uttaradi Math, is one of the main monasteries (matha) founded by Madhvacharya with Padmanabha Tirtha as its head to preserve and propagate Dvaita Vedanta (Tattvavada) outside Tulunadu region. Uttaradi Math is one of the three primary Dvaita monasteries or Mathatraya that descended from Madhvacharya in the lineage of Padmanabha Tirtha through Jayatirtha. Cholenahalli Nanjappa Manjunath is an Indian cardiologist and the former director of the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research. He is reported to have developed a new protocol in balloon mitral valvuloplasty and is credited with the performance of the highest number of such procedures using Accura balloon catheter in India. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2007, for his contributions to Indian medicine. He Inaugurated the 410th edition Of Mysore Dasara on 17 October 2020 which is the Nadahabba as a mark of honour for Corona warriors in the COVID-19 pandemic.
