Stamford American School Hong Kong is a private school in Hong Kong that offers K-12 international educational program with American standards-based curriculum for over 700 students from more than 30 nationalities in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon. [1] Opened in 2017, Stamford offers Pre-Primary to Grade 12 for students aged 5 to 18. Stamford is authorized to offer International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) and is an authorized IB World School. [2] Stamford American School Hong Kong is also a Council of International Schools (CIS) Accredited School. [3]
Stamford was established in Hong Kong in August 2016 by Cognita and opened its doors to its first cohort of students in September 2017. [4] Stamford enrolled more than 350 students in its foundation year. In 2018, Stamford announced its on-campus facilities enhancement project [5] to support the development of its high school curriculum; the project was completed in 2021. [6]
Stamford American School Hong Kong took over the former New Method College on 25 Man Fuk Road, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong as its campus. [7] The School was refurbished before opening and fitted with new facilities including a swimming pool and a technology lab. [8]
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is a public research university located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong near Hung Hom station. Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) is an international school in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. Founded in 1991, the school provides an education for over 1,800 students representing more than 40 nationalities from Early Years 1 to Grade 12. CDNIS is one of seven International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools in Hong Kong authorised to deliver three IB programmes – the Diploma Programme (DP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP). In addition to the IB Diploma Programme, students are also eligible to receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma upon graduation. The language of instruction is English, with Mandarin, French, and Spanish taught as second languages. Additionally, the Early Years programme now supports two teaching streams: Bilingual and International. In the Bilingual stream, students will receive equal instruction in both Mandarin and English. Whereas the international stream will focus on English with some Mandarin instruction. The Head of School is Dr. Jane Camblin. The school celebrated its 25th anniversary during the 2016–2017 school year. The school received its full IB re-authorisation in 2018 and full CIS/WASC accreditation in 2018. Over the summer of 2019, the school installed 349 solar panels on two of the school's roofs - making CDNIS’ photovoltaic farm the largest solar farm of any school on Hong Kong Island.

It was the fourth school of the same name, with the first one built in 1951 on Hong Kong Island. It was also the first school to participate in the Direct Subsidy Scheme. It was announced that the school would close in 2012 due to a chronic decrease in enrollments. The former campus at 25 Man Fuk Road now houses Stamford American School Hong Kong.
