The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its fourteen members include the flagship public universities of ten states,three additional public land-grant universities,and one private research university. The conference is headquartered in Birmingham,Alabama. The SEC participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I in sports competitions;for football it is part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS),formerly known as Division I-A.

The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks football program is the intercollegiate American football team for the Southeast Missouri State University located in Cape Girardeau,Missouri. The team competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and are members of the Ohio Valley Conference. The school's first football team was fielded in 1902. The team plays its home games at the 11,015-seat Houck Stadium. They are coached by Tom Matukewicz.
Lincoln "Link" Jarrett is an American college baseball coach and former shortstop,who is the current head coach of the Florida State Seminoles. Jarrett played college baseball at Florida State University from 1991 to 1994 for coach Mike Martin. He was the head coach at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2013 to 2019 and University of Notre Dame from 2020 to 2022.

Amid an otherwise undistinguished decade,the Missouri Tigers baseball team won the Big 12 Conference tournament in 2012. The Tigers struggled the first two seasons after the change of Conference,then improved to a limited extent. As of 2018 their best performance during the decade in a Conference league was in 2015 and their best overall performance was in 2018. Tim Jamieson retired as head coach in 2016 after 22 years,to be replaced by Steve Bieser.
Thomas Farden is a South Korea-born American college gymnastics coach. He began his career as the assistant coach of his alma mater the Southeast Missouri Redhawks women's program in 1999,and was promoted to head coach in 2003. After his departure in 2009,Farden briefly served as an assistant coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks for the 2010 season. In 2011,Farden became an assistant coach for the Utah Red Rocks team;a position he held until 2015 when,following the retirement of long-time leader Greg Marsden,he was made the co-head coach with Megan Marsden. After Marsden's retirement in 2019,Farden became the sole head coach of the program. In November 2023,the school put him on administrative leave.

Ehren Larry Earleywine is an American sports coach and administrator who is currently athletic director at Jefferson City High School. From 1997 to 1999,Earleywine was head baseball coach at Westminster College in Missouri. He later became a college softball head coach,first at Georgia Tech from 2004 to 2006,then at Missouri from 2007 to 2018.
Andrew Sawyers is an American college baseball coach and former catcher. Sawyers is the head coach of the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks baseball team.
Denzel Mahoney is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Austin Spurs of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Creighton Bluejays and the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks.
Ricky Meinhold is an American former baseball pitcher who is currently the pitching coordinator for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). Meinhold previously served for the St. Louis Cardinals of MLB,the New York Mets of MLB,the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization,the Missouri Tigers of the Southeastern Conference and the Appalachian State Mountaineers of the Sun Belt Conference.
The 2021 Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team represents the University of Arkansas in the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Razorbacks are coached by Dave Van Horn,in his 19th season with the Razorbacks,and play their home games at Baum–Walker Stadium.

The 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level,began on February 17,2023. The regular season was followed by many conference tournaments and championship series,and the season concluded with the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2023 Men's College World Series. The Men's College World Series,consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha,Nebraska,at Charles Schwab Field Omaha,ended on June 26,2023,with LSU winning the title.
