Steven ("Steve") Micael Plasencia (born October 28, 1956, in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is a former American long-distance runner. Plasencia competed in the 10,000 metres at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1992 Summer Olympics. In the closest 1-2 finish in the race's history, Plasencia edged out Keith Brantly by one second to win the 1992 California International Marathon (2:14:14). [1] Plasencia won the Oct 1997 USATF National Masters Marathon Championship at age 40. [2] His 14:02.86 5000 metres at the Drake Relays at the age of 40 was the American Masters record until 2014 when it was broken by Bernard Lagat.
Plasencia was the head cross-country and assistant track and field coach at the University of Minnesota, until his retirement in 2021, where he won three Indoor Big Ten Track and Field Championships (2009, 2010, 2011) and two Outdoor Big Ten Track and Field Championships (2009, 2010) . [3]

Lorraine Mary Moller is a former athlete from New Zealand, who competed in track athletics and later specialised in the marathon. Moller's international career lasted over 20 years and included winning a silver medal in the marathon at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and a bronze medal in the marathon at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona at the age of 37. A four-time Olympian, she also completed the marathon at the 1984, 1988 and 1996 games. Her other marathon victories included the 1984 Boston Marathon and being a three-time winner (1986,87,89) of the Osaka International Ladies Marathon.
Galen Rupp is an American long-distance runner. He competed in the Summer Olympics in 2008 in Beijing, 2012 in London, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro and 2021 in Tokyo. He won the silver medal in the men's 10,000 meters in London and the bronze medal in the men's marathon in Rio de Janeiro. Rupp competed for the University of Oregon and trained under Alberto Salazar as a member of the Nike Oregon Project. He won the 2017 Chicago Marathon, becoming the first American to do so since Khalid Khannouchi in 2002. Rupp won the marathon at the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials in Atlanta with a time of 2:09:20, and qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, where he finished eighth.

Garry Brian Bjorklund is an American middle- and long-distance runner. He represented the United States in the 1976 Summer Olympics in the 10,000 meters. As a high schooler, he set a Minnesota state record for the mile run which lasted 39 years. At the University of Minnesota, he won the 1971 national championship in the six-mile run, and won numerous conference championships in various disciplines. Following his 1976 Summer Olympics appearance, Bjorklund became a marathon runner, and set a national age group record in 1980.

Steven Clifton Orlando Holman is a retired American middle-distance runner who competed primarily in the 1500 meters. He represented his country at the 1992 Summer Olympics as well as two indoor and two outdoor World Championships. Holman was coached at Georgetown University and in his professional career by Frank Gagliano.
