Terrence Paul Brahm (born November 21, 1962) is an American former long-distance runner. He was the bronze medalist in the 3000 meters at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 1987 and represented the United States in the 5000 meters at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He was the 1986 NCAA champion in that event for the Indiana Hoosiers.
He grew up in Saint Meinrad, Indiana and attended Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, Indiana. He demonstrated his sporting ability in the Pocket Athletic Conference while there. [1] He attended Indiana University Bloomington and competed for their Indiana Hoosiers college track team while there. He won both the mile run and two miles titles at the 1984 Big Ten Conference indoor championships and was named the Athlete of the meet. [2] He took the highest collegiate honour in 1986, winning the 5000 meters title at the NCAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships. This made him the institution's second athlete to win that race, building on the achievement of 1936's inaugural winner Don Lash. [3]
Brahm began to break through in senior competitions in 1986, first with a 5000 m runner-up finish at the 1986 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships behind Doug Padilla, [4] then a silver medal in the same event at the Goodwill Games (again behind Padilla). [5] Brahm took the 3000 meters bronze medal at the 1987 IAAF World Indoor Championships, held in his home state in Indianapolis, finishing behind Irish duo Frank O'Mara and Paul Donovan. [6] He finished third at the USA Outdoor Championships in 1987 and improved to the runner-up spot for a second time in 1988 at the USA Olympic Trials to claim a spot on the American team for the 1988 Summer Olympics. On Brahm's Olympic debut he reached the semi-finals of the 5000 m, but managed only fifteenth in that race. [7] Before retiring, he won two national titles: the United States 5K Run Championships in 1990 and the 3000 m at the United States Indoor Track and Field Championships in 1991. [8] [9]

Derek Scott is an American distance runner and coach. He was a finalist in the 3000 meters steeplechase at the 2011 Pan American Games, placing sixth. He ran for Cornerstone University's Golden Eagles athletic team and was the 2007 NAIA Champion in the 1500 meters.

Deborah Dawn "Debbie" Scott-Bowker is a Canadian former middle- and long-distance runner. A three-time Olympian for Canada, she reached the 1500 m final in 1984, and both the 1500 m and 3000 m finals in 1988. She was also a three-time World Championship finalist, reaching the 1500 m and 3000 m finals in 1987, and the 1500 m final in 1991.
Susan Krumins is a Dutch middle- and long-distance runner. She was the 5000 metres bronze medalist at the 2014 European Athletics Championships and also won a 3000 metres bronze at the 2014 IAAF Continental Cup.
Ryan Hill is an American long-distance runner. Hill was a silver medalist in the 3000 metres at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships. He represented the United States at the 2009 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Junior men's race 52nd place, 2013 World Championships in Athletics and the 2015 World Championships in Athletics, where he ran the 5000 meters at both finishing 7th and 5th, respectively.
Emily Infeld is an American long-distance runner. She regularly competes in the 5000 m and 10,000 m distances during her professional career; in her college career she regularly competed in the 4 × 800 meter relay and 1500 m on up to 5000 m.
Daniel "Dan" Huling is an American distance runner who specializes in the 3000-meter steeplechase. He holds a personal record of 8:13.29 minutes for the event, set in 2010. He has represented the United States at the World Championships in Athletics four times.
Joan Nesbit Mabe is an American former long-distance runner who competed mainly in distances from 3000 meters to 10,000 meters. Her highest honour was a bronze medal in the 3000 m at the 1995 IAAF World Indoor Championships. She represented her country at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and appeared four times at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
Nicole Tully is an American middle- and long-distance runner. She holds best of 4:05.89 minutes for the 1500 meters and 15:05.58 minutes for the 5000 meters. She was the American national champion over the latter distance in 2015.
Ellen Buchleitner is a German former track and field athlete who was a middle-distance specialist. Representing East Germany, she won a silver medal in the 800 metres at the 1989 European Indoor Championships and a bronze medal in the 800m at the 1989 World Indoor Championships, before going on to win a silver medal in the 1500 metres at the 1990 European Championships. She won three East German national titles.
Paul Donovan (athlete) (born 11 July 1963) is an Irish former long-distance runner. He was the silver medallist in the 3000 metres at the 1987 IAAF World Indoor Championships. He was the number one ranked indoor runner that year. He represented Ireland at the Olympics twice: in 1984 and again in 1992.
Mikhail Antonovich Dasko is a Russian former long-distance runner who competed for the Soviet Union and later Russia. He was a bronze medallist at both the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1988 and the 1992 IAAF World Cup. He represented the Soviet Union at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
Marc Scott is a British long-distance runner. He took his first global medal with bronze in the 3000 metres at the 2022 World Indoor Championships. He is the European indoor record holder for the 5000 metres.
