Refereeing career

Jablonski has been a referee since 2003. Starting in 2008, he officiated matches in the Oberliga as well as in the Under 19 and Under 17 Bundesliga. Beginning with the 2009/10 season, Jablonski was assigned to matches in the Regionalliga, and for the 2011/12 season, he was promoted to the 3rd Division (3. Liga). His first professional match was the 3. Liga game between VfR Aalen and SV Wehen Wiesbaden on August 13, 2011.

After three years, Jablonski was appointed as a 2nd Division referee for the 2014/15 season, making his debut on Matchday 4 with the fixture FSV Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig. For the 2017/18 season, Jablonski was nominated by the DFB as one of four new referees for the Bundesliga. His first match in Germany’s top flight was Bayer 04 Leverkusen vs SC Freiburg on September 17, 2017.

During the match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich on November 30, 2024, Jablonski wore a so-called “Refcam” — a camera attached to his headset. The footage was used to produce a short documentary offering a referee’s-eye view of the game. He was the second referee in the Bundesliga, after Daniel Schlager, to wear the camera.

FIFA

Since January 1, 2022, Jablonski has been included on the FIFA list. Before that, he had already served internationally as a fourth official, including in the UEFA Champions League and at international matches.

Jablonski officiated at the 2023 UEFA U19 European Championship in Malta, where he refereed three matches, including the final between Portugal and Italy (0–1).

Since the 2024/25 season, Jablonski has been classified as a UEFA First Category referee and is eligible to officiate matches in the UEFA Europa League. His first appearance in Europe’s second-tier competition was the match between Glasgow Rangers and Olympique Lyon (1–4) on October 3, 2024. His Champions League debut is scheduled for November 5, 2025, in the match between Paphos FC and Villarreal CF.

Personal life

Jablonski lives in Bremen, where he works as a bank teller.
