TVPaint Animation (also known as TVPaint, TVP, Bauhaus Mirage or NewTek Aura) is a 2D paint and digital animation software package developed by TVPaint Developpement SARL based in Lorraine, France. Originally released for Amiga in 1991, [1] version 3.0 (1994) introduced support for other platforms. [2] In 1999, the last Amiga version 3.59 was released as free download. [3] [4] TVPaint Animation currently runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems.

<i>Dexters Laboratory</i> American comic science fiction animated television series

Dexter's Laboratory is an American animated television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network as the first Cartoon Cartoon. The series follows Dexter, an enthusiastic boy-genius with a hidden science laboratory in his room full of inventions, which he keeps secret from his clueless parents, who are only referred to as "Mom" and "Dad". Dexter is at constant odds with his older and more extroverted sister Dee Dee, who always gains access to the lab and inadvertently foils his experiments. Dexter has a bitter rivalry with his neighbor and classmate Mandark, a nefarious boy-genius who attempts to undermine Dexter at every opportunity. Prominently featured in the first and second seasons are other segments focusing on superhero-based characters Monkey, Dexter's pet lab-monkey/superhero, and the Justice Friends, a trio of superheroes who share an apartment.

Samurai Jack is an American animated action-adventure dystopian television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. The show is produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Tartakovsky conceived Samurai Jack after finishing his work on his first Cartoon Network original series, Dexter's Laboratory, which premiered in 1996. Samurai Jack took inspiration from Kung Fu, the 1972 televised drama starring David Carradine, Tartakovsky's fascination with samurai culture and the Frank Miller comic series Ronin.

Robert John Renzetti is an American animator and author. Renzetti is known for creating My Life as a Teenage Robot and the Oh Yeah! Cartoons series Mina and the Count for Nickelodeon, directing Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, and Samurai Jack for Cartoon Network and serving as the animation director of Sym-Bionic Titan. He was also the supervising producer on the Disney Channel animated television series Gravity Falls and an executive producer on Big City Greens. He most recently served as story editor and co-executive producer on Kid Cosmic for Netflix and released his first original novel, The Horrible Bag of Terrible Things.

Sony Pictures Animation Inc. is an American animation studio owned by Sony Entertainment's Sony Pictures Entertainment through their Motion Picture Group division and founded on May 9, 2002. Paul Bernard Rudish is an American animator, storyboard artist, writer, and voice actor, originally known for his art, writing, and design work at Cartoon Network Studios on series created by Genndy Tartakovsky. He went on to co-create the series Sym-Bionic Titan and, in 2013, developed, wrote, storyboarded, executive produced, and directed a revival of Mickey Mouse short cartoons.

Cartoon Saloon is an Irish animation film, short film and television studio based in Kilkenny which provides film TV and short film services. The studio is best known for its animated feature films The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, The Breadwinner and Wolfwalkers. Their works have received five Academy Award nominations, their first four feature length works all received nominations for Best Animated Feature and one for Best Animated Short Film. The company also developed the cartoon series Skunk Fu!, Puffin Rock, Dorg Van Dango and Viking Skool. As of 2020, the studio employs 300 animators.

Michaela Pavlátová is a Czech animator, film director and teacher. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for Words, Words, Words (1991) and won the Short Film Golden Bear for Repete (1995). As a feminist experimental animator Michaela's work explores themes of sex, gender, philosophy and relationality. Beyond her independent work she worked as the art director for Wildbrain Inc. She currently teaches animation at the Academy of Performing Arts, film and TV School in Prague. Michaela has also taught at the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague, the Academy of Art College, Computer Arts Institute in San Francisco and at Harvard University in Prague.

Bryan D. Andrews is an American storyboard artist and writer known for his work in science fiction and superhero films. Born in 1975, Andrews began his film career with a credit in Warner Bros. Feature Animation's 1998 film Quest for Camelot. He contributed to Joseph: King of Dreams, Jackie Chan Adventures, Samurai Jack, My Life as a Teenage Robot, and various installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Doctor Strange and Avengers: Endgame. Andrews also worked alongside Genndy Tartakovsky to produce the animated series Sym-Bionic Titan for Cartoon Network, which ran for 20 episodes.

<i>My Fathers Dragon</i> (2022 film) 2022 film directed by Nora Twomey

My Father's Dragon is a 2022 animated fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Nora Twomey with a screenplay by Meg LeFauve who co-wrote the story with John Morgan. It is based on the 1948 children's novel of the same name by Ruth Stiles Gannett. The film is also dedicated to Morgan who had since died. It stars the voices of Jacob Tremblay, Gaten Matarazzo, Golshifteh Farahani, Dianne Wiest, Rita Moreno, Chris O'Dowd, Judy Greer, Alan Cumming, Yara Shahidi, Jackie Earle Haley, Whoopi Goldberg, and Ian McShane.

Mum is Pouring Rain is a French animated short film produced by Laïdak Films written by Hugo de Faucompret and Lison d'Andréa and directed by Hugo de Faucompret. Released in 2021, it won the Jury Prize in the Special TV category at the Annecy international animated film festival the same year. The film was shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for the 94th Academy Awards.

Jonas Poher Rasmussen is a Danish filmmaker. In 2021, he wrote and directed the animated documentary Flee, that received three nominations for the Best Documentary Feature, Best International Film and Best Animated Feature at the 94th Academy Awards. From 2007 to 2010 Jonas attended the Danish independent film school Super16.

Uri Lotan is an Israeli filmmaker. He is mostly known for his Oscar-shortlisted short film Black Slide (2021).
