Thrissur North bus stand or Vadakke stand is a bus station in Thrissur City, Kerala, India. It is under the control of Thrissur Municipal Corporation. It is the origin point of buses proceeding towards Mulangunnathukavu Medical college, Ottappalam, Shoranur, Thiruvilwamala, Ramavarmapuram, Amballur, Ollur and Mannuthy. [1] [2]

In 2020, the bus stand was rebuilt with Rs 6.16 crore CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) fund of the South Indian Bank. The new facilities include waiting room for women, feeding room, police control room, public announcement system, ATM, conference hall, office room, restaurant, medical store and South Indian Bank. [3] [4] [5] The bus station was designed by Architects & Engineers Association, Thrissur. [6]

Thrissur railway station is a railway station in Kerala, India. Thrissur also is known as the Cultural Capital of Kerala. Thrissur Railway Station is a major railway head in South India and A1 classified station operated by the Southern Railway zone of the Indian Railways and comes under the Thiruvananthapuram railway division. It is the busiest railway station in Kerala state in terms of rail traffic with 189 halting trains. Daily trains are available to Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Mangalore, and Hyderabad. This station lies on the Shoranur – Cochin Harbour section, which is one of the busiest railway corridors in Kerala. It has three satellite stations, Punkunnam railway station and two minor stations, Ollur railway station and Mulankunnathukavu railway station. Thrissur Railway Station also connects to the temple town of Guruvayur by Thrissur-Guruvayur Section.

Thrissur City Police

Thrissur City Police (TCP), a division of the Kerala Police, is the law enforcement agency for the City of Thrissur, Kunnamkulam and the temple town of Guruvayoor. Vadakke Madham Brahmaswam Vedic Research Centre is a residential institution for the study of vedas. It is located on the compound of Vadakke Madhom in Thrissur city of Kerala state in India. The centre once was the centre of learning for Vedas in South India and is the oldest Vedic school still running in India.
