Prior to 20th century

• 1794 - Ekaterinodar founded "on the site of an old town called Tmutarakan." ^[1]

• 1868 - Konstantin Ivanovich Frolov becomes mayor. ^[2]

• 1886 - Population: 39,610. ^[4]
• 1888 - Triumphal Arch, Krasnodar  [ ru ] of Alexander III erected.
