Turkey participated in nine editions of eleven European Youth Summer Olympic Festivals since its establishment in 1991.

Contents

As of 2011, Turkish youth athletes have won a total of 39 medals, divided into 11 golds, 9 silvers and 19 bronzes. [1] Turkey hosted 2011 Summer Festival and 2017 Winter Festival.

The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) is a biennial multi-sport event for youth athletes from the 50 member countries of the association of European Olympic Committees. The festival has a summer edition, held for the first time in Brussels in 1991, and a winter edition, which began two years later in Aosta. It was known as the European Youth Olympic Days from 1991 to 1999.

The 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival was held in Trabzon, Turkey, between 23 and 29 July 2011.

The athletics competition at the 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival was held from 25 to 29 July 2011. The events took place at the Söğütlü Athletics Stadium in Trabzon, Turkey. Boys and girls born 1994 or 1995 or later participated 36 track and field events, divided evenly between the sexes.

Gymnastics at the 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival (EYOF) was held from 25 to 29 July 2011. The competitions took place at the Yomra Arena in Trabzon, Turkey. At most three boys born 1994/1995 and girls born 1996/1997 or later from each country participated at the following 7 disciplines for boys and 6 for girls.
