Tylotropidius is a genus of grasshopper with about six species found in Africa and Asia. [1]
Species included in the genus are:
Bandwings, or band-winged grasshoppers, are the subfamily Oedipodinae of grasshoppers classified under the family Acrididae. They have a worldwide distribution and were originally elevated to full family status as the Oedipodidae. Many species primarily inhabit xeric weedy fields, and some are considered to be important locusts:
Mysmenidae is a spider family with about 180 described species in seventeen genera. The family is one of the least well known of the orb-weaving spiders because of their small size and cryptic behaviour. These spiders are found in humid habitats such as among leaf litter and in caves.
Neoscona, known as spotted orb-weavers and barn spiders, is a genus of orb-weaver spiders (Araneidae) first described by Eugène Simon in 1895 to separate these from other araneids in the now obsolete genus Epeira. The name Neoscona was derived from the Greek νέω, meaning "spin", and σχοῖνος, meaning "reed" They have a mostly pantropical distribution and one species, Neoscona adianta, has a palearctic distribution. As of April 2019 there are eight species that can be found in the United States and Canada:
Chorthippus is a large genus of acridid grasshoppers with around 230 described species. The genus may be subdivided into subgenera including: Altichorthippus, Chorthippus and Glyptobothrus, with other species not placed.
Macrothele is a genus of mygalomorph spiders in the family Macrothelidae, and was first described by A. Ausserer in 1871. Most species occur in Asia, from India to Japan, and Java, with five found in Africa, and two in Europe. The name is derived from Ancient Greek μακρός ("makro-"), meaning "big", and θηλή ("thele"), referring to the spinnerets.
Jacobsoniidae are a family of tiny beetles belonging to Staphylinoidea. The larvae and adults live under bark, in plant litter, fungi, bat guano and rotten wood. There are around 28 described species in three genera:
Gomphocerinae, sometimes called "slant-faced grasshoppers", are a subfamily of grasshoppers found on every continent but Antarctica and Australia.
Acanthoxia is a genus of African grasshoppers in the family Acrididae.
Baculentulus is a genus of proturans in the family Acerentomidae.
Gracilentulus is a genus of proturans in the family Acerentomidae.
Kenyentulus is a genus of proturans in the family Acerentomidae.
Eosentomon is a genus of proturans in the family Eosentomidae.
Pseudanisentomon is a genus of proturans in the family Eosentomidae. It was described by Zhang and Yin in 1984.
Songthela is a spider genus in the family Heptathelidae, with species found in China and Vietnam.
Chrysochraontini is a tribe of grasshoppers belonging to the subfamily Gomphocerinae.
Coscinida is a genus of comb-footed spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1895.
The Eyprepocnemidinae are a subfamily of Acrididae in the Orthoptera: Caelifera. Species can be found in Africa, mainland Europe and Asia.
Atympanum is a genus of grasshoppers in the subfamily Oedipodinae, from China.
Heteracris is a genus of short-horned grasshoppers in the family Acrididae. There are more than 60 described species in Heteracris, found in Africa, southern Europe, and manland Asia through to India.
