The United Gorani Party (Serbian : Jedinstvena Goranska Partija, [1] Albanian : Partia Unike Gorane) is a Gorani political party in Kosovo.
The Unique Gorani Party was registered by the Kosovo Electoral Commission on 12 May 2014. [2]
Since its founding the Unique Gorani Party has won a Gorani Minority reserved seat in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo twice in Kosovo Parliamentary Elections of 2017 [3] and 2019. [4] The Unique Gorani Party is part of Parliamentary Majority in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo and is represented in the Government of Kosovo with one Deputy Minister. At the local government level, taking part in the municipal elections in Municipality of Dragaš, the Unique Gorani Party has won 2 out of 27 seats of the local Assembly. [5]

Parliamentary elections to the Assembly of Kosovo have been held four times since 1999 with the latest in December 2010. The Assembly was an institution within the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government (PISG) established by the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) to provide 'provisional, democratic self-government' in advance of a decision on the final status of Kosovo. Kosovo, formerly a province of Serbia, came under UN administration in 1999 and unilaterally declared its independence in February 2008. The Assembly elected in 2007 continued in office after the declaration of independence.
The Politics of Serbia are defined by a unitary parliamentary framework that is defined by the Constitution of Serbia in which the president, currently Aleksandar Vučić, is the head of state while the prime minister, currently Ana Brnabić, is the head of government. Executive power is exercised by the Serbian government and the President of Serbia. Legislative power is vested in the unicameral National Assembly which is composed of 250 proportionally elected deputies. The judiciary is independent and is headed by the Supreme Court of Cassation, which is also the highest court in Serbia.
Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 11 May 2008 to elect members of the National Assembly. The election was held barely a year after the previous parliamentary election. There were 6,749,886 eligible electors who were able to vote in 8,682 voting places, as well as 157 special voting stations for refugees from Kosovo.
The Assembly of the Community of Municipalities of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, was the assembly of the association of local governments created by the municipal authorities in Kosovo elected in the May 11, 2008 municipal elections called by the Government of Serbia. It was created in Kosovska Mitrovica to represent the municipalities that defy the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence. The Assembly was composed of 45 representatives delegated by 26 municipalities. The majority of delegates were ethnic Serbs, while some represented Gorani, Bosniak and Romani communities.
Local elections were held in Serbia over two rounds on 3 November and 17 November 1996, concurrently with the 1996 Vojvodina provincial election; the first day of voting also coincided with the 1996 Yugoslavian parliamentary election and the 1996 Montenegrin parliamentary election. This was the third local electoral cycle held while Serbia was a member of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the last time that Serbia oversaw local elections throughout Kosovo and Metohija until its parallel elections in 2008.
Enis Imamović is a Serbian politician from the country's Bosniak community. He has served in the National Assembly of Serbia since 2012 as a member of the Party of Democratic Action of Sandžak.
Jovan Palalić is a politician in Serbia. He has served several terms in the National Assembly of Serbia. Once a prominent member of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Palalić is now the general secretary of the Serbian People's Party.
Slaviša Ristić is a Serbian politician. A prominent figure in the Kosovo Serb community, he was for many years the president of Zubin Potok, a predominantly Serb municipality in northern Kosovo. He is currently serving his second term in the National Assembly of Serbia.
Nemanja Šarović is a politician in Serbia. He served several terms in the National Assembly of Serbia as a member of the far-right Serbian Radical Party before resigning from the party in July 2020. He is now the leader of the Love, Faith, Hope political movement.
Zoran Ostojić is a journalist and politician in Serbia. He was a member of the National Assembly of Serbia from 2008 to 2014, serving for most of this time as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party. He was previously a prominent journalist with RTV Studio B and served as the station's director from February to October 1997.
Siniša Stamenković is a politician in Serbia. He served in the National Assembly of Serbia from 2008 to 2012 and is now a member of the Kladovo municipal assembly. Stamenković is a member of the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia.
Srđan Vulović is a Kosovo Serb politician. Since 2019, has been the president of Zubin Potok, a predominantly Serbian municipality in northern Kosovo on the border with Central Serbia. He also served in the National Assembly of Serbia from 1997 to 2001.
Bedri Hamza is a politician and administrator in Kosovo. He has been the Republic of Kosovo's finance minister on two occasions, has served three terms in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, was governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo from 2013 to 2017, and is the current mayor of Mitrovica. Hamza is a prominent member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
Besim Muzaqi is a politician in Kosovo. He was the deputy mayor of Vushtrri from 2017 to 2021 and has been a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo since 2021. Muzaqi is a member of Vetëvendosje.
Stojanka Petković is a former Kosovo Serb politician. She served in the Assembly of Kosovo from 2001 to 2004 as part of the "Return" coalition and in the National Assembly of Serbia from 2007 to 2012 as a member of G17 Plus.
Srđan Miković is a Serbian politician. He served as mayor of Pančevo on two occasions and was a member of the National Assembly of Serbia from 2008 to 2014.
Elbert Krasniqi is a Kosovar politician and leader of the Kosovo–Egyptian community, who is currently serving as minister of local government administration and leader of the New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo. Prior to his position, Krasniqi was a member of parliament.
Rodoljub Džamić is a Serbian politician. He was a member of the National Assembly of Serbia for two terms between 1991 and 1997 and has served as the mayor of Vrnjačka Banja on three occasions. For most of his political career, Džamić has been a member of the Socialist Party of Serbia.
The Party of Kosovo Serbs is a political party of the Serb minority in Kosovo, led by former Serb List leader Aleksandar Jablanović. The city of Leposavić is considered the strongest support of the party.
