The United Cigar Manufacturing Company building is a historic building that is located in York, York County, Pennsylvania.
The building was constructed as a cigar factory in 1907 by the United Cigar Manufacturing Company of New York City.
United Cigar was formed in 1902 by the consolidation of Kerbs, Wertheim & Schiffer; Hirschhorn, Mack & Company; and Stratton & Storm Company. It was subsequently incorporated in New York under the same name in 1906. As of 1907, the company owned and operated nineteen factories in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey and manufactured 400 million cigars annually for the wholesale market. [2] It became the General Cigar Company about 1917.
The cigar factory was operated for an undetermined period as the York City Cigar Company. After 1932, the building housed printers and clothing manufacturers and is currently used as an apartment building.
The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. [1]
This three-story, brick building sits on a stone foundation and has a low-pitched gable roof. The main facade is eighteen bays wide and has a four-bay-wide, one-bay-deep, center pavilion. The building measures 174 feet wide by forty-one feet deep. [3]

The Henry Clay and Bock & Company Ltd. Cigar Factory is a historic industrial building located at 507 Grand Street in the Chambersburg neighborhood of Trenton, New Jersey. It was built in 1932 to house the hand production of fine cigars and is considered the most architecturally distinct industrial building in the city, having been designed in the Spanish Revival style to highlight the Cuban origins of the company. It was built in 1886 by Sohmer & Co., and is a six-story, "L"-shaped, Rundbogenstil / Romanesque Revival style brick building. The corner features a clock tower with a copper trimmed mansard roof. The building was expanded about 1906–1907. It was converted to residential usage starting in 2007.

It was originally built in 1927-1928 for the General Cigar Company; Ansco purchased the factory in 1937. The factory building is a four-story brick building with basement, five bays wide and 20 bays long. It has an intersecting four-story wing and two-story addition constructed in 1950. The building measures approximately 62 feet wide and 402 feet long. The powerhouse is a one-story, steel frame and brick building measuring 36 feet wide and 52 feet long. The buildings housed manufacturing operations of Ansco for cameras and photographic equipment. The factory closed in 1977.
