Valenzuela's 2nd congressional district is one of the two congressional districts of the Philippines in the city of Valenzuela. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 2001. [3] The district was created following Valenzuela's conversion into a highly-urbanized city through Republic Act No. 8526 on February 14, 1998. [4] It consists of nine barangays in the southern part of the city, namely Bagbaguin, General T. de Leon, Karuhatan, Mapulang Lupa, Marulas, Maysan, Parada, Paso de Blas and Ugong. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Eric M. Martinez of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP). [5]

The legislative districts of Valenzuela are the representations of the highly urbanized city of Valenzuela in the various national legislatures of the Philippines. The city is currently represented in the lower house of the Congress of the Philippines through its first and second districts.

The Legislative district of Malabon–Navotas was the combined representation of the Metropolitan Manila municipalities of Malabon and Navotas in the lower house of the Congress of the Philippines from 1987 to 2010.

Magtanggol Tanjuan Gunigundo I, also known as Magi Gunigundo, is a Filipino politician who last served as the representative of the second district of Valenzuela to House of Representatives from 2001 to 2004 and from 2007 to 2016. Valenzuela's at-large congressional district was a congressional district for Valenzuela in the Philippines. It was represented in the House of Representatives from 1987 up to its division in 2001. The district was apportioned in 1987, pursuant to the constitution ratified that year, giving the two municipalities their own joint district after having been grouped with Malabon and Navotas from 1984 to 1986. The district was first represented by Antonio Serapio, followed by its last representative Magtanggol Gunigundo I. The district was divided into two districts following Valenzuela's conversion into a highly urbanized city in 1998.
