Weiner Township is a township in Jackson County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 172 at the 2000 census.
Weimer Township was organized in 1871, and named after Weimar, Germany, the original home of an early settler. [3]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 34.9 square miles (90.4 km2), of which 30.6 square miles (79.3 km2) is land and 4.3 square miles (11.2 km2) (12.35%) is water.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 172 people, 67 households, and 50 families residing in the township. The population density was 5.6 people per square mile (2.2/km2). There were 79 housing units at an average density of 2.6/sq mi (1.0/km2). Everybody in town is white.
There were 67 households, out of which 34.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.1% were married couples living together, 3.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.9% were non-families. 22.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 3.00.
