The Wuling Air EV (Chinese :五菱晴空; pinyin :Wǔlíng Qíngkōng; lit.'clear sky') is a battery electric city car manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) since 2022. [6] Based on SGMW's Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform, the model is the third GSEV model to be marketed under the Wuling brand after the Hongguang Mini EV and the Nano EV.
The Air EV was first introduced in Indonesia as the "Wuling EV" on 1 June 2022, before its debut in China on 3 June. [7] [8] [9] For the Indonesian market, the model is assembled from knock-down kits from China at the SGMW Motor Indonesia plant in Cikarang, West Java. [10] Indonesian models went on sale at the 29th Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show on 11 August. [11] [12]
In China, it went on sale in December 2022, and is offered in two- and four-seat configurations with differing body lengths and wheelbases. [13]
The Air EV was one of the operational vehicles used for the 2022 G20 Bali summit in Bali. [14] [15]
In November 2022, the vehicle was imported by General Motors to Egypt as the Chevrolet Spark EV as ride hailing vehicles during the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference. [16]
Outside of Indonesian market, the Air EV was went on sale in Nepal in December 2022, [17] Thailand in July 2023, [18] and in Brunei in late September 2023.
In April 2023, a rebadged version of the Air EV called the MG Comet EV was launched in India by MG Motor. [19]

SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile is a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors, and Guangxi Auto. Based in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in southwestern China, it makes commercial and consumer vehicles sold in China under the Wuling and Baojun marques, respectively.

The MG ZS is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by the Chinese automotive manufacturer SAIC Motor under the British MG marque. Announced at the 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show in China, the MG ZS is the second SUV to be produced under the MG marque after the MG GS. The crossover is an example of an extensive badge engineering, as it is marketed under four different brands in several different markets.
The Wuling Hongguang S1 is a compact MPV manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling between 2015 and 2017 in China, and since 2017 in Indonesia as the Wuling Confero. A commercial van version was introduced in Indonesia in 2018 as the Wuling Formo and Wuling Formo S for the passenger variant, while a 2-door pickup version was introduced in Indonesia in 2023 as the Wuling Formo Max.
The Baojun E200 is a battery electric city car manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) since 2018 under the Baojun marque. It is a two-seater car with two doors and a hatch at the rear. It is the second vehicle in Baojun's electric microcar series, after the E100 and before the E300. Since 2021, it is also known as the Wuling Nano EV.
