The Baojun 630 is a small family car/compact four-door notchback saloon and was the first car produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling through the Baojun brand. The 630 is manufactured in Liuzhou, Guangxi, China. [3] It was launched at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, [4] and went on sale in August 2011. [5] A five-door hatchback derivative called the 610 was added to the range in April 2014. [6]
The car was developed at the SAIC-GM Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) in Shanghai. [7] While not visually similar to other GM cars, it has been suggested that the 630 and 610 is based on the Buick Excelle/Daewoo Lacetti platform. [8]
In 2014, the car debuted in Egypt and Algeria as the Chevrolet Optra. [9] [10] The 2023 model was the final Optra to be listed on the Chevrolet Arabia website.
The hatchback variant of the 630 is known as the 610.
A facelifted version was revealed for the first time in December 2015, featuring a slightly revised front end, a more important redesigned rear end, with larger tail lamps, and a heavily reworked dashboard. [11]
The 630 is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder 109 bhp (81 kW; 111 PS) 1.5-litre (1,485 cc) engine producing 146 N⋅m (108 lb⋅ft) and mated to a five-speed transmission. A 1.8-litre (1,796 cc) version, producing 141 bhp (105 kW; 143 PS) and 177 N⋅m (131 lb⋅ft) [12] was added to the range in November 2012. [13]
It can be equipped with front airbags, ABS with EBD, leather seats, power windows, remote central locking, air conditioning, trip computer, a CD player and rear parking sensors. The Baojun 630 is currently using pull-out door handles, similar to the facelifted Daewoo Lacetti. [14] [15]
The Holden Barina is a subcompact automobile sold between 1985 and 2018 by Holden in Oceania. Each of the six generations have been badge-engineered versions of various General Motors vehicles, namely Suzuki Cultus, Opel Corsa, and Daewoo Kalos. Barina is an Australian aboriginal word meaning "summit".

The Chevrolet Spark is a city car manufactured by General Motors's subsidiary GM Korea from 1998 to 2022. The vehicle was initially developed by Daewoo and was introduced in 1998 as the Daewoo Matiz. In 2002, General Motors purchased Daewoo Motors, which had the vehicle being marketed with several GM marques and nameplates.
The Daewoo Lacetti is a compact car manufactured and marketed globally by GM Korea since 2002. The first-generation Lacetti was available as a four-door sedan and five-door station wagon, styled by Pininfarina—and five-door hatchback styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro. The sedan and wagon were marketed as the Daewoo Nubira in some European markets and as the Suzuki Forenza in North America. The hatchback, was introduced in 2004 and marketed as Daewoo Lacetti5 in South Korea, Suzuki Reno in the United States. After the 2004 model year, it was marketed as Chevrolet Nubira and Lacetti in Europe, as the Chevrolet Optra in Canada, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, India, Japan and Southeast Asia, and as the Holden Viva in Australia and New Zealand.
The Chevrolet Captiva is a compact crossover SUV marketed by General Motors. The first generation was developed by GM Korea, based on the GM Theta platform and derived from the S3X concept car revealed in 2004. Released in 2006, it was sold internationally as Chevrolet Captiva, in Australia and New Zealand as Holden Captiva and in South Korea as Daewoo Winstorm until 2011, when the international name was adopted. The vehicle shares much its underpinnings with the similarly-styled Opel/Vauxhall Antara / second-generation Saturn Vue, with the Captiva offering optional third-row seating.
The Daewoo Tosca is a mid-size car designed by Daewoo in South Korea and marketed by Chevrolet as the Chevrolet Epica and Chevrolet Tosca, while Holden marketed it as the Holden Epica. Codenamed V250, it replaces the Daewoo Magnus and its derivatives. The Chevrolet Epica was officially launched in Europe at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. The Tosca is noteworthy in that it is available with transversely-mounted straight-six engines. Contrary to the preceding models, which were styled by Giugiaro, the V250 was designed entirely in-house.
SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile is a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors, and Guangxi Auto. Based in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in southwestern China, it makes commercial and consumer vehicles sold in China under the Wuling and Baojun marques, respectively. A major mass-volume producer in the Chinese interior, in 2011 SGMW sold 1,286,000 vehicles in China, 1,445,000 in 2012, and aims to sell 2 million cars annually. Its offerings range in price from US$5,000 to US$10,000. SGMW is one of the largest manufacturers of microvans in China. Known as xiao mianbao che (小面包车), or "small bread box cars," these pint-size commercial vehicles are no larger than a compact car and have sold well in the poorer interior. One of its popular microvans is the Wuling Sunshine. Selling more than 450,000 units per year, SGMW has claimed no one model outsells it in China.

It was designated as a globally developed, designed, and manufactured four-door compact sedan, complemented by a five-door hatchback body variant from 2011, and a station wagon in 2012. The Chevrolet Aveo is a subcompact car (B-segment) marketed by General Motors (GM) since 2002. Originally developed by South Korean manufacturer Daewoo Motors and marketed as the Daewoo Kalos, the takeover of Daewoo by GM to form GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GMDAT) resulted in the car being marketed under seven brands in 120 countries, with the Aveo nameplate being the most commonly used one. The second-generation Aveo, developed by GM Korea, was introduced in 2011 and was also marketed as the Chevrolet Sonic in several markets such as in the Americas, Japan, Middle East, South Africa and several Southeast Asian markets. Production of the second-generation model ended in October 2020.

The Baojun 530 is a two- or three-row compact crossover SUV produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) through the Baojun brand. Unveiled at the Auto Guangzhou 2017, Baojun 530 took design cues from the smaller 510 and is a successor of the 560, while the 560 remained briefly on sale as a cheaper alternative. The crossover is an example of an extensive badge engineering, as it is marketed under four different brands in several different markets.
