X Factor is a Norwegian television music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions. It is broadcast on Friday evenings on the TV 2 Network in Norway.

The first season of the show was aired from September through to December 2009. The contestants were divided into three categories. Groups were mentored by Mira Craig, Over 25s by Jan Fredrik Karlsen and the 16-24s by Peter Peters.

Season 2 (2010)

The second and final season of the show was aired from September to December 2010. Auditions were held in Tromsø (28–29 April 2010), Trondheim (7–9 May), Bergen (26–28 May), Kristiansand (5–6 June) and Oslo (17–20 June 2010).

Replacing Charlotte Thorstvedt as new program presenters were Ravi and Guri Solberg after Thorstvedt received much criticism for her efforts in the first season. The judges were Elisabeth Andreassen, Klaus Sonstad, Jan Fredrik Karlsen and Marion Ravn.

The format had changed with 4 categories instead of three (with Under 25s now divided between Boys Under 25 and Girls Under 25). Each category had three finalists instead of the earlier four.

24 reached judges houses. Andreassen was helped by Alexander Rybak, Sonstad by Mariann Thomassen, Karlsen by Chand Torsvik and Ravn by Sveinung Sundli. Singer Benn was a guest judge.

The X Factor is a British television music competition to find new singing talent; the winner of which receives a £1 million recording contract with the Syco Music record label. The X Factor is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The third series was broadcast on ITV from 19 August 2006 until 16 December 2006. Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell all returned for their third series on the judging panel. Kate Thornton returned to present the main show on ITV, while Ben Shephard returned to present spin-off show The Xtra Factor on ITV2. After the semi-final on 9 December, Cowell became the winning judge even though the series had not yet finished, as two of his acts, Ray Quinn and Leona Lewis, became the two finalists. Lewis won the series on 16 December, with Quinn finishing as runner-up.

The first series of the music talent show The X Factor Greece began airing on ANT1 on 4 October 2008 and was won by Loukas Giorkas on 30 January 2009. The show was presented by Sakis Rouvas. It was also broadcast abroad via ANT1's international stations.

The second series of the music talent show The X Factor Greece began airing on ANT1 on 2 October 2009, and was won by Stavros Michalakakos of Limassol (Lemesos), Cyprus on 12 February 2010. The show was presented for a second year by Sakis Rouvas. It was also broadcast abroad via ANT1's international stations. The series featured Eleftheria Eleftheriou and Ivi Adamou who both participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 representing Greece and Cyprus as well as Hovig who represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Also the runner up of the series, Nini Shermadini, was one of the Georgian backing vocalists.

The X Factor Greece is a Greek television reality music competition, based on the original series in the UK, to find new singing talent. The winner of which receives a recording contract with Sony Music Greece is Haris Antoniou. The third series began airing on ANT1 on 1 October 2010 and ended on 11 February 2011. The show was presented by Sakis Rouvas, with Giorgos Lianos and Maria Sinatsaki hosting the audition shows. The competition is split into several stages: auditions, bootcamp, judges' houses and live shows. Auditions took place throughout July and September 2010, with George Levendis, Giorgos Theofanous, Katerina Gagaki and Nikos Mouratidis returning as judges. Following bootcamp, successful acts were split into four categories: Boys, Girls, Over-25s and Groups. The live shows started on 29 October 2010.
