Sian Powers is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, Coronation Street, portrayed by Sacha Parkinson. Sian was introduced as a love interest for Sophie Webster. Sian joined the cast of Coronation Street alongside Ben Richardson in January 2009 as Sophie's schoolmates. They soon form a new group of teenagers along with Ryan Connor. Sian and girlfriend Sophie are Coronation Street's first lesbian couple. It was announced on 29 May 2011 that Parkinson had quit her role, and she made her last on screen appearance on 30 December 2011.

Ajax is a floating crane built to move and install the canal locks and other large parts of the Panama canal. Ajax also helped in ship repairs and clearing the canal as needed. Ajax and her identical sister crane, the Hercules, were the largest floating cranes at time of completion, able to install the massive Panama Canal locks. Ajax could lift a maximum of 250 tons to a height of 21 feet, with a close reach. At Ajax's far reach she could lift a maximum of 100 tons. Ajax and Hercules were built by Deutsche Maschinenbau AG (1910-1977) . After the Ajax and Hercules, Deutsche Maschinenbau AG later made the Langer Heinrich, or Long Henry in 1915, in use for 100 years.

Sian Hayley "Leo" Proctor is an American geology professor, science communicator, and astronaut. She was launched into Earth orbit, on September 15, 2021, as the pilot of the Crew Dragon space capsule. This mission was the Inspiration4 private orbital spaceflight. As the pilot on the Inspiration4 mission, Proctor became the first African American woman to pilot a spacecraft. She is a geology professor at South Mountain Community College in Arizona. She is also a Major in the Civil Air Patrol where she serves as the aerospace education officer for its Arizona Wing.
