Bentong, the seat of Bentong District, is a town located in western Pahang, Malaysia, at the border with the state of Selangor in the west and the state of Negeri Sembilan in the south.

Federal Route 55 or Jalan Kuala Kubu Bharu–Teranum–Raub is a 62-km federal road connecting the states of Selangor and Pahang in Malaysia. It is the first federal road ever constructed in Pahang. The road connects Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor to Teranum near Raub in Pahang where it meets Federal Route 218. It is the main access route to Fraser's Hill.

Federal Route 68, also known as Jalan Gombak or Jalan Karak Lama, is a federal road in Malaysia that links the city of Kuala Lumpur to Bentong, Pahang. Before Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway E8/FT2 was built, the road was used to be a part of Kuala Lumpur–Kuantan Road FT2; however, due to its sharp corners, narrow roadway and lack of safety features, a replacement highway known as the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway FT2 was built, causing the former Kuala Lumpur–Bentong section to be re-gazetted as the Federal Route 68.

The Federal Route 8, also known as the Kuala Lumpur–Kota Bharu Highway, is a 402.7-km federal highway in Malaysia. It connects Bentong in the south to Kota Bharu in the north. The highway had two parts - Kota Bharu–Kuala Krai Road and Bentong–Kuala Lipis Road until the completion of the missing link from Kuala Krai to Kuala Lipis, causing the entire FT8 highway to take 99 years to be completed.

Karak is a small town in Bentong District, Pahang, Malaysia. Located at the foothills of Malaysia's Titiwangsa Mountain Range, it is well known as a rest town along the Federal Route 2 from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan and lends its name to the Karak Highway, or the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway linking it to the country's capital of Kuala Lumpur.

Ketari is a small town in Bentong District, Pahang, Malaysia. The old Shell petrol station and the Tengku Sulaiman Mosque are two of the oldest landmarks in this town.

The Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway East Coast Expressway is a 60-kilometre (37 mi) interstate controlled-access highway in Peninsular Malaysia. It runs between the town of Gombak in Selangor to the southwest and Karak in Pahang to the northeast. The expressway was previously a single-carriageway trunk road forming part of federal route 2; this designation is kept after the upgrade in 1997.

Federal Route 218, or Jalan Lama Bentong–Raub, is a federal road in Pahang, Malaysia. The roads connects Raub in the north to Bentong in the south. This stretch used to be a part of Federal Route 8. The Kilometre Zero (KM0) of the Federal Route 218 starts at Bentong.

Central Spine Road (CSR) or Kuala Krai–Kuala Pilah Highway, Federal Route 34, is a new toll-free highway under construction in the center of Peninsular Malaysia. The 325 km highway is built to eventually replace the former two-lane Malaysia Federal Route 8 and Malayaia Federal Route 9. Construction of CSR starts at Package 3 which is from Merapoh to Kampung Relong. It commences at Package 3 as the Gua Musang Highway passes through Chegar Perah which is prone to roadkill. The highway has a long eco-viaduct built in this section. Package 5 which is from north Raub to Karak will be built next, which will connect it to E8 Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway bypassing Bentong and Mempaga. This will help detour traffic from the steep mountainous grade between Raub and Bentong. It was formerly known as Central Spine Expressway.

Kalimuthu s/o Pakirisamy or P. Kalimuthu, known professionally as Bentong Kali, was a Malaysian-Tamil criminal and gangster, who gained a national attention in the 1990s. He was implicated in 17 different murders, and terrorized the capital Kuala Lumpur through violence, extortion and heroin smuggling. He also made headlines when he challenged the police to arrest him. He was finally gunned down by Royal Malaysia Police's Special Actions Unit from Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur.

Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan Bentong, usually known as SUPERB is the seventh residential school in Pahang Darul Makmur, Malaysia. It is Pahang's first Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan (SMAP) and Malaysia's third, after Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan Labu and Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan Kajang. SUPERB was the first residential school which implemented the Ministry of Education's Tahfiz Model Ulul Albab program, in which students undergo the Tahfiz program with five years of study.

It is located 80 km northeast of Kuala Lumpur, just across the main range, Titiwangsa Mountains. The original main street going into Bentong town has been modified to a dual carriageway. It is bordered by Selangor on the west and Negeri Sembilan on the south.

She is a member of the Democratic Action Party, a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. She has also served as Deputy Youth Chief of DAP since March 2022.
