Kallang (IPA:/kɑːlɑːŋ/ is a planning area and residential zone located in the Central Region of Singapore.
The Bukit Panjang LRT is an 8-kilometre (5.0 mi) automated guideway transit line in Bukit Panjang, Singapore. The BPLRT is currently the only Light Rail Transit (LRT) line operated by SMRT Trains. As the name suggests, it serves 13 stations in the neighbourhood of Bukit Panjang and parts of Choa Chu Kang in the north-west area of the country. The line was the first LRT line constructed in Singapore, having been opened on 6 November 1999 by then-Deputy Prime Minister Tony Tan.

The Battle of Pasir Panjang, which took place between 13 and 15 February 1942, was part of the final stage of the Empire of Japan's invasion of Singapore during World War II. The battle was initiated upon the advancement of elite Imperial Japanese Army forces towards Pasir Panjang Ridge on 13 February.

Pasir Panjang MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Circle line. As the name suggests, it is located in Pasir Panjang at the southern part of Queenstown planning area, Singapore. This station is situated underneath Pasir Panjang Road and Labrador Viaduct, next to the Pasir Panjang Food Centre, Currency House and Pasir Panjang container terminal. It is also near the Reflections at Bukit Chandu, a museum near the site of the Battle of Pasir Panjang.
Haw Par Villa MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Circle line (CCL) in Queenstown, Singapore. Located underneath West Coast Highway and Pasir Panjang Road, the station serves the nearby Haw Par Villa, alongside the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre.

Nicoll Highway is a major arterial road in Singapore which links the junctions of Guillemard Road, Sims Way and Mountbatten Road in Kallang to the junctions of Esplanade Drive, Raffles Avenue and Stamford Road in the city. West Coast Park is a large regional park located at the south-western corner of West Coast, Singapore. It runs parallel to West Coast Highway, and covers an area of roughly 50 hectares of park land consisting of three areas, each with its own variety of activities promising to ensure a fun-filled day for visitors both young and old. Since its inception, the park has been themed as the "Play Centre in the West".
Yan Kit Swimming Complex, located along Yan Kit Road, was the second public swimming pool in Singapore, opening in 1952 and closing in April 2001. The complex cost a total of $513,000 and pool users had to pay fifteen cents per entry. The complex closed due to a daily attendance of only 120 users by 2001.

Kent Ridge is the name of a ridge and a neighbourhood located in Pasir Panjang, in the Queenstown Planning Area of Singapore. The area is notable for housing two parks within the Southern Ridges, Kent Ridge Park and HortPark. The main campus of the National University of Singapore is located adjacent to it, straddling along the southern boundary of Kent Ridge. It is served by the Kent Ridge MRT station.

Queenstown Public Library is one of the 26 public libraries established by the National Library Board of Singapore. It was the first full-time Branch Library to be built by the National Library in its plan to decentralise home reading services. It pioneered several firsts amongst Branch Libraries, including becoming the first fully air-conditioned Branch in 1978, computerising its loan services in 1987, and lending video cassettes in 1997. It was refurbished in 2003. The building plans were approved by Mrs Hedwig Anuar, the then-Director of the National Library. Building construction began in November 1968 and with its completion, the building was handed over to the National Library on 26 December 1969. It is currently the oldest library in Singapore after the original National Library at Stamford Road was torn down, the first of 26 under the National Library Board (NLB) to be preserved as announced on 25 July 2014 and was gazetted for conservation under the Urban Redevelopment Authority's Master Plan 2014, as part of the medium-term physical development of Singapore on 6 June that year.
Clyde Terrace Market, also known as Beach Road Market, Iron Market, Irumbu Pasar, Pasar Besi, Ti Pa-Sat, Thi Pa-Sat, Tick Pa Sat, Thick Pa Sat, Jit Pasah and Tie Basha, was the largest market in Singapore. Initially a cluster of tiled sheds in Kampong Glam, a building was constructed in the 1870s to house the market. It was demolished in 1983 to make way for The Gateway.
