The 2007 Major League Soccer season was the 12th season of Major League Soccer. It was also the 95th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States, and the 29th with a national first-division league.
The 2007 Houston Dynamo season was the second season of existence for the Houston franchise. The Dynamo were the defending MLS Cup champions from the previous season and prevailed to win back-to-back MLS Cups as they defeated the New England Revolution for the second year in a row in the MLS Cup final. The Dynamo also competed in the CONCACAF Champions' Cup, U.S. Open Cup, and North American SuperLiga during the 2007 season.
Toronto FC began play in Major League Soccer in 2007, and the club's first regular season match was on April 7, 2007, at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles away to Chivas USA. Toronto FC suffered a 2–0 loss. Toronto's first home match was on April 28, 2007, at BMO Field against Kansas City Wizards. The home side lost 1–0 on an 81st-minute goal by Eddie Johnson.
The 2008 Major League Soccer season was the 13th season of Major League Soccer. It was also the 96th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States, and the 30th with a national first-division league.
The 2008 Houston Dynamo season was the third season of the existence for the Houston franchise. The Houston Dynamo were the defending back-to-back MLS Cup Champions, and sought to become the first club in Major League Soccer history to win three straight MLS Cups. It was the team's third season with head coach Dominic Kinnear, majority owner Philip Anschultz, president Oliver Luck, and chief operating officer Chris Canetti.

The 2010 MLS season was the fourth season in Toronto FC's existence. The club was looking to make the playoffs for the first time in their history and ultimately fell short. TFC started the season with Preki as the new head coach however, on September 14, 2010, he along with the Director of Soccer Mo Johnston were relieved of their duties; and Nick Dasovic took over as head coach on an interim basis.
The 2010 Chivas USA season was the sixth season of the team's existence.
The 2010 Colorado Rapids season was the fifteenth year and season of the club's existence. It was Colorado's fifteenth year in Major League Soccer, and the fifteenth consecutive year for the club in the top-flight of American soccer.
The 2010 Houston Dynamo season was the fifth season of the team's existence since joining Major League Soccer (MLS) prior to the 2006 season. It was the team's fifth season with head coach Dominic Kinnear, majority owner Philip Anschultz, and chief operating officer Chris Canetti. On June 10, team president Oliver Luck left the Dynamo to become athletic director for his alma mater, West Virginia University.
The 2010 San Jose Earthquakes season was the club's thirteenth season of existence. The Earthquakes finished 8th overall in MLS and finished in the Eastern Conference finals of the MLS Cup playoffs before losing to the Colorado Rapids. It was the first season the club made the playoffs since 2005.
The 2010 Chicago Fire season was the club's 15th year of existence, their 13th season in Major League Soccer, and 13th consecutive year in the top-flight of American soccer.
The 2008 New England Revolution season was the thirteenth season of the team's existence. The regular season began on March 29, 2008 with a 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamo and ended on November 6 with a 3-0 playoff loss to the Chicago Fire.
The 2008 Colorado Rapids season was the thirteenth season of the team's existence. Colorado began their season with 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy and ended a 1-1 draw against Real Salt Lake. They finished 4th in the Western Conference and 9th overall, 1 point behind the New York Red Bulls for the final Wild Card Playoff spot. In the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying, Colorado defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0 before losing in Kansas City in a penalty shootout.
The 2013 FC Dallas season was the eighteenth of the team's existence. The team began their preseason by signing three new players to the squad: Stephen Keel, Peter Luccin, and Pipico.
The 2013 season is the Houston Dynamo's 8th competitive season in Major League Soccer, 8th year of existence as a football club, and their second consecutive season playing at BBVA Compass Stadium. They also competed in the CONCACAF Champions League, participating in the knockout phase of the 2012–13 campaign being eliminated by Santos Laguna in the quarterfinal 3–1 on Aggregate. They will be opening the 2013–14 group stage in late July or early August 2013.
The 2007 FC Dallas season was the eleventh season of the Major League Soccer team. During the offseason, long-time owner and partial founder of the MLS Lamar Hunt died. His son, Clark Hunt, took control of the team. The team was invite to participate in the first SuperLiga tournament. The team did not make it out of the Group stage.

The 2007 New England Revolution season was the twelfth season of the team's existence, and the third straight season to end in the MLS Cup Final. It began on April 7 with a 1–0 road loss against the Chicago Fire and ended on November 19 with a 2–1 loss to the Houston Dynamo in the finals of the MLS Cup, a repeat of the previous year's MLS Cup Final. It was the first season where the Revs won any domestic competition, as they were the 2007 US Open Cup champions.
