The 2007 Superbike World Championship was the twentieth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 24 February at Losail and finished on 7 October at Magny-Cours after 13 rounds.

The main title contenders were 2004 champion James Toseland on a Honda, 2006 champion Troy Bayliss on a Ducati, former MotoGP rider Max Biaggi on a Suzuki, and Noriyuki Haga on a Yamaha. Bayliss spent the season riding a Ducati 999, even though production of the 999 had ended in 2006 and the bike had been replaced by the Ducati 1098. To satisfy homologation requirements, Ducati produced 150 limited edition 999 models.

The championship was won by James Toseland in the final race of the season. Toseland's 415 points gave him a 2-point margin over Haga, with Biaggi in third position with 397 points. The manufacturers' championship was won by Yamaha.

This was also the final season Corona Extra provided title sponsorship, having done so since 1998. From 2008 HANNspree took on this role in a deal up to and including the 2010 season.

On 20 March DFX Honda dropped Steve Martin from their rider lineup due to a lack of funds.^[5] On 27 March DFX Honda and Steve Martin reached an agreement which saw the rider on track at Donington and from there, on a race by race basis for the next three races.^[6]

His 43 victories ranks fifth all time in the history of the Superbike World Championship behind Jonathan Rea, Carl Fogarty, Alvaro Bautista and Troy Bayliss. Haga ranks fourth behind Troy Corser, Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea in career World Superbike race starts with 313. He last competed in the 2018 CIV Supersport 600 Championship, aboard a Yamaha YZF-R6.

Troy Andrew Bayliss is an Australian motorcycle racer. During his career Bayliss won the Superbike World Championship three times and a MotoGP race, all with Ducati. He finished his career after winning the 2008 World Superbike title. His 52 World Superbike victories ranks fourth all time in the history of the championship behind Jonathan Rea, Álvaro Bautista and Carl Fogarty.

Carlos Checa Carrera is a Spanish former professional motorcycle road racer and winner of the 2011 Superbike World Championship. After racing in 500 cc and MotoGP for over a decade, mostly on Honda and Yamaha machinery with and without full manufacturer support, he moved to the Superbike World Championship on a Honda for 2008. He has two Grand Prix victories. He has a younger brother, David Checa, also a motorcycle racer who competed in the Superbike World Championship for 2008.

Régis Laconi is a French former professional motorcycle racer. In 2009 he competed in the Superbike World Championship for DFX on a Ducati. He was runner-up in 2004, and has won races in both Grand Prix in 500cc engine capacity classification and the Superbike World Championship.

The 2006 Superbike World Championship was the nineteenth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 25 February at Losail, and finished on 8 October at Magny-Cours after 12 rounds and 24 races. The original season calendar issued by the FIM included a 13th round scheduled in South Africa on 22 October but the round was cancelled at the request of the series' promoter FGSport.

Thomas Edward Sykes is a professional motorcycle racer who first competed in World Superbike Championship during 2008. For the 2022 season, Sykes rejoined his former team Paul Bird Motorsport riding a Ducati in British Superbikes, finishing in 12th place.

Superbike World Championship is a silhouette road racing series based on heavily modified production sports motorcycles.

The 2004 Superbike World Championship was the seventeenth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 29 February at Valencia and finished on 3 October at Magny-Cours after 11 rounds. The traditional Japanese round at Sugo was replaced with a new Canadian round which was scheduled for 4 July at the Mont-Tremblant, near Quebec. Though no explanation was given for the change, it was seen as some form of revenge after the refusal of the Japanese manufacturers to back the 2004 rules. The Canadian round was eventually canceled after a circuit inspection determined that the amount of work necessary to bring the venue up to WSBK standard could not be carried out in time for the proposed date.

The 2009 Superbike World Championship was the twenty-second season of the Superbike World Championship. It was the second season in which HANNspree had been the title sponsor of the championship. The South African round returned on 15–17 May at Kyalami for first time since the 2002 season that the Superbike World Championship had raced there; other changes in the calendar were the return of Imola after a two-season absence as the replacement for Vallelunga and the discontinuation of Brands Hatch as one of the British venues.

The 2010 Superbike World Championship was the twenty-third season of the Superbike World Championship. It was the third season in which HANNspree had been the title sponsor of the championship.

The 2011 Superbike World Championship was the twenty-fourth season of the Superbike World Championship. It began on 27 February at Phillip Island and finished on 16 October in Portimão after 13 rounds.

The 2015 Superbike World Championship was the twenty-eighth season of the Superbike World Championship. Jonathan Rea became 2015 World Superbike Champion.

The 2019 Superbike World Championship was the 32nd season of the Superbike World Championship.

The 2020 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship was the 33rd season of the Superbike World Championship.

The 2020 Supersport World Championship was the twenty-fourth season of the Supersport World Championship, the twenty-second held under this name.

The 2022 Superbike World Championship was the 35th season of the Superbike World Championship. The championship was won by Álvaro Bautista, who became World Champion in 2022 after finishing 2nd in Race 2 at the Mandalika round. There are 24 riders who compete in this event for the Mandalika race. Ducati won its 18th manufacturer title.

The 2023 Supersport World Championship was the twenty-seventh season of the Supersport World Championship, the twenty-fifth held under this name. The championship was won by Nicolò Bulega at the Portuguese round.
