James Michael Toseland is an English former motorcycle racer and vocalist of his own rock band named Toseland. For 2020, he was team-manager of Wepol Racing with riders in World Supersport and Supersport 300, and is a television motorcycle racing commentator.
Chaz Richard Page Davies, is a British motorcycle racer, primarily known for his career in the Superbike World Championship, where he finished three times as runner-up. In 2024, Davies was confirmed as a rider in the MotoE World Championship, an electrically powered race series.
The 2007 Superbike World Championship was the twentieth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 24 February at Losail and finished on 7 October at Magny-Cours after 13 rounds.

The Supersport World Championship, abbreviated to WorldSSP, is a motorcycle racing competition on hard-surfaced circuits, based on mid-sized sports motorcycles. Competition machines were originally based on production-based motorcycles with 600 cc to 955 cc engines, depending on the number of cylinders. After trials in UK national series British Supersport, from 2022 the regulations have changed to allow eligibility of larger-displacement engines, to reflect the engine sizes being produced and encourage different manufacturers.

The South African round returned on 15–17 May at Kyalami for first time since the 2002 season that the Superbike World Championship had raced there; other changes in the calendar were the return of Imola after a two-season absence as the replacement for Vallelunga and the discontinuation of Brands Hatch as one of the British venues.

Javier "Xavi" Forés Querol is a motorcycle road racer from Spain. For 2020 he competed in the Superbike World Championship aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10RR, and for 2021 in both British Superbike Championship for FHO Racing using BMWs, and FIM Endurance World Championship for BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team.

The championship was won by Álvaro Bautista, who became World Champion in 2022 after finishing 2nd in Race 2 at the Mandalika round. There are 24 riders who compete in this event for the Mandalika race. Ducati won its 18th manufacturer title.
The 2023 Supersport World Championship was the twenty-seventh season of the Supersport World Championship, the twenty-fifth held under this name. The championship was won by Nicolò Bulega at the Portuguese round.
The 2024 Superbike World Championship was the 37th season of the Superbike World Championship. Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, who had previously won the championship in 2021, won his second Superbike world title, and marked BMW's first rider's title since entering world-level superbikes in 2011. Nicolò Bulega, 2023 World Supersport champion was runner-up in his rookie Superbike year.
