China Table Tennis Super League is the top table tennis division under the Chinese Table Tennis Association.
The 2009 H.I.S. World Table Tennis Championships were held in Yokohama, Japan, from 28 April to 5 May 2009. The Chinese team dominated the competition, following their sweep of the gold medals in table tennis at the 2008 Summer Olympics. It was the tenth world table tennis championships at which China won all five available titles.
The 2009 World Table Tennis Championships men's doubles was the 50th edition of the men's doubles championship. Wang Hao and Chen Qi won the title after defeating Ma Long and Xu Xin in the final by four sets to one.
The 2009 World Table Tennis Championships women's doubles was the 49th edition of the women's doubles championship. Li Xiaoxia and Guo Yue defeated Ding Ning and Guo Yan in the final by four sets to one.
The GAC GROUP 2011 World Table Tennis Championships was held at the Ahoy indoor sporting arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands from May 8 to May 15, 2011. This decision was announced in February 2008. It was the 51st edition contested. The tournament was organised by the ITTF and The Netherlands Table Tennis Association (NTTB). GAC GROUP was the title sponsor of the Championships.
The men's singles table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The event took place from Saturday 28 July to Thursday 2 August 2012 at ExCeL London. The tournament was a single elimination tournament with a third place playoff played between the two losing semi-finalists. In the 2008 event all three medals were won by Chinese athletes with Ma Lin taking gold.
Wang Hao won the title in 2009 and was therefore the defending champion. He reached the final where he met fellow Chinese player Zhang Jike.

The China men's national volleyball team represents China in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Chinese Volleyball Association. The team competed twice in the Olympic Games, finishing in eighth place at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, and fifth place in the 2008 Summer Olympics at home in Beijing.
